This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Astria Suparak, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.astriasuparak.com/bio.htm.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) MadmanBot (talk) 01:16, 23 April 2013 (UTC)
Response: I have re-written the article to address the Detector report. Is it safe to remove the MadmanBot template? JonathanCross (talk) 10:36, 23 April 2013 (UTC)
I believe all required changes have been made, so the notice has been removed. JonathanCross (talk) 14:14, 24 April 2013 (UTC)
Unblock request
Editing from 74.125.0.0/16 (talk) has been blocked (disabled) by User:Reaper Eternal for the following reason(s)... Seems to be a {{webhostblock}} - From what I can see, I (Jonathan Cross) am not specifically blocked, yet I am prevented form editing because of my IP address. The Webhostblock template indicates I should use the unblock template below:
JonathanCross/Archives/2015 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
Seems like I am being blocked because the IP address was flagged as "Google Appspot". However, I was assigned this address as an internal Google employee. Is there a way to make exceptions for users who are clearly making positive contributions to Wikipedia? Or am I missing something? JonathanCross (talk) 12:00, 23 April 2013 (UTC)
Accept reason:
IP block exemption granted. The problem is that there are literally hundreds of anonymizing proxies on Google AppSpot, and the exit points are all over on yours and one other /16 range. Unfortunately, the same /16 also includes a few non-AppSpot /24 ranges like yours which have also been hit. Since vandals and trolls regularly abuse open proxies to cause unstoppable disruption to the project, I was forced to block. Anyway, you should be able to edit now without further disruption. Great, thank you for the quick response! JonathanCross (talk) 13:23, 23 April 2013 (UTC)
Redlinks to personal names
Hi! Please don't create redlinks to personal names before your draft is accepted and there's an article in place. See WP:REDLINK "A redlink to a person's name should be avoided".
The number of redlinks is not a factor in deciding whether your draft will be accepted or not; the most significant factors are having enough independent reliable sources to satisfy notability guideline and neutrality of its content. -- intgr [talk] 11:40, 31 August 2015 (UTC)
Hi there intgr, sorry, I had not seen that note about redlinking people's names specifically and misunderstood the advice.
Thanks for pointing this out! -- JonathanCross (talk) 01:56, 2 September 2015 (UTC)
- That's fine, per the spirit of WP:BOLD, you're not expected to know all the guidelines; if you're doing something wrong, other people will revert or let you know. -- intgr [talk] 07:41, 2 September 2015 (UTC)
