(Hey! I already talked to you earlier today but I'm leaving you a reminder note that I'm dropping on active Norwegian Wikipedians' pages on en. Please contribute!)
The English Wikinews is going to be organizing an interview with the former Norwegian Culture Minister Åse Kleveland. She was also the head of the Swedish Film Institute and is now the chairwoman of the Norwegian Humanist Association. I am asking Wikipedians from all of the Scandinavian languages to contribute questions to her upcoming interview with Wikinews in Oslo. The page is here; please leave questions there and comments to me either on my en.wikinews talk page or my en.wikipedia talk page. Thank you very much! Mike H.Fierce!02:10, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Hope you don't mind but I noticed your News and notes for the signpost and just had a query about part of it. In it (and your blogpost) you say "Another result of the poll is that the tenth Wikipedia in the list will be replaced by the one in the user’s preferred language (as set in the browser preferences). This, however, needs some extra code to be implemented, and is not live yet."
When I was reading the talk page of the poll - http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Talk:Top_Ten_Wikipedias/poll - it did not appear to have been decided what the result of the third vote was (whether there was sufficient consensus for D3 or not) and was wondering if this had been decided somewhere else, as I thought it looked like the discussion did not think the result would be sufficient for a consensus decision at this stage. I'd like to invite you to join the newly-formed Rock music WikiProject. There's alot of Rock-related articles on Wikipedia that could use a little attention, and I hope this project can help organize an effort to improve them. So please, take a look and if you like what you see, help us get this project off the ground and a few Rock music pages into the front ranks of Wikipedia articles. Thanks! --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 20:37, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Heisann! Kunne du gjort alle i bidteamet til offiserer i facebookgruppa? Vi trenger å rekruttere litt flere folk etterhvert, og det kan være greit å vise hvem som sitter som en del av teamet som kan kontaktes om det trengs. Bjelleklang - talk19:44, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Signpost updated for July 28, August 9, 11 and 18, 2008.
I sent you an email five days ago requesting a copy of a deleted article from the Norwegian Wikipedia. Did you receive this? __meco (talk) 19:45, 26 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You respond in Norwegian that you chose not to answer. Could you explain why you chose to ignore a perfectly innocuous and ordinary request such as this? I have requested material similarly from you in the past and you have provided the material. If for some reason you find not to be able to act on this request, shouldn't plain decency at least require you to state this? __meco (talk) 06:33, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Again you choose to respond in Norwegian. You write, "I felt that it would be more polite not to give the response I would have given. I am not going to provide further comments on this."
I can surely take a hint, and I will seek other people that can assist me in obtaining a copy of this article. I am nevertheless surprised by this lack of civility and indeed professionalism displayed by a high-ranking official of the Wikimedia community. __meco (talk) 19:27, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
