Maitreya (Share International)

Hello

I see that you have edited this article and removed the section and links pertaining to User:Pastor Harry Walther and his website's claims that Maitreya is the AntiChrist of Christian prophecy. I ask that you remove this one-sided text that is currently here now and replace it with the original text on the page.Danielcrangle 22:24, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Go ahead and change it if wish, but the Christian Fundamentalist preacher's view (that fails to recognize the validity of any other view) should be labeled as such. Rather than saying Pastor Harry Walther - it should say Fundamentalist Christian Pastor Harry Walther and back it up with sound logical reasons for such a belief. Perhaps it would also be appropriate to point out that many people (religious and non-religious alike) believe that the "Anti-Christ" is best symbollically represented by the Bush regime due to their highly deceptive, a warmongering, torturing, murderous and unrepentive ways, and the insanely greedy billionaires who control them.

Maitreya(s)

Hi Jon33- Regarding the various Maitreya claimants, after some discussion on the main article a while back, the general consensus was to limit the information in the Maitreya article to information about Maitreya as he is described in recognized Buddhist sources. Modern claimants not recognized in Buddhist sources should probably be discussed elsewhere- in particular, the Maitreya (Share International) page was created specifically for information regarding the figure promoted by Benjamin Creme. Thanks & sorry. I had forgotten that many Buddhists still see Maitreya Buddha as one who has his own favorite religion, and that many of them don't expect to see Him for many thousands of years. Jon33

A tag has been placed on Ageless wisdom, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please, stop pushing the link http://www.counterpunch.org/agee03142007.html to Latin American countries. The contents of the web page are not encyclopedical, and are not directly connected to each of the countries individually. Ok, sorry - i won't do that again. I do think that the article is very relevant to ALL of the Latin American countries, and particularly helpful reading for those who wish to understand the world situation, and learn about important positive developments in Latin America that either ignored or lied about by the mainstream news media. Such conduct is considered censorship, hypocracy, and blantent disregard for the truth, justice, and the principles of true democracy. Thanks, Jon33

Ageless wisdom

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Ageless wisdom, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Please stop adding the {{hangon}} tag to Ageless wisdom. The article is not tagged for speedy deletion. It is tagged for AFD. Those discussions typically last for five days.
