[edit]Hello, I'm CodeTalker. I noticed that you recently removed content from Bohdan Khmelnytsky without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Is this also your account? The edit summaries and rationales for reverting look very similar, and you make this account one day after that account stopped editing. Mellk (talk) 01:57, 19 March 2023 (UTC)
Mellk, yes it is my account-I forgot my password, and as I don't have a computer I make edits from a library, that required making a new account. I am in the process of trying to close the account for which I can't remember my password. Wikipedia users can create several accounts for security reasons, or because they have forgotten their passwords, are completing assignments etc. In fact Wikipedia policy specifically says you may create multiple accounts unless they are being used in an underhanded way. But more interestingly, why is it so important to you, why are you writing on my talk page about an account I have not written to? are not coterminous with? that I don't back or support in any manifestation and that haven't even edited the same articles? Its highly normal for Wikipedia users to stop new editors from distorting the appearance of an article without talk page approval. Are these not your recommendations e.g. 'no consensus to control info box in Popasna', 'no consensus to include control here' in Krasnohorivka, 'please discuss' on Ivan Aivazovsky' get consensus on Malevich, the list goes on. So why can I not??Jollyoldrogers (talk) 02:58, 19 March 2023 (UTC)Jollyoldrogers
- Because old accounts must be disclosed. Otherwise it looks deceptive.
