Obute Basil Anthony

Obute Basil Anthony is a Nigerian-born IT/Web Designer who has cut his teeth with many major accomplishments in the industry. He was born on April 12, 1988, in Nsukka, Enugu State; the South-Eastern part of Nigeria. He began his education at the Holy Ghost Secondary, Abakaliki, where he obtained his West African Examinations Council Certificate and National Examination Council Certificate in 2005. His quest for academic prowess led him to the University in Nigeria where he bagged a B.Sc in Computer Science in 2012. Basil is currently pursuing an M. Sc. in Computer Science at the University of Bridgeport, CT, 06604, US.

Basil began his career as an IT Administrator/Web design teacher at Nucleus Technologies, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, Nigeria. He helped in managing the wireless Internet data centre and served as a Web design teacher for IT Students. He moved to Ansons Biz Link Technologies in November 2012, where he works as a Web Designer.

Professional Skills

Basil is skilled in website design and is proficient in the use of Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, CorelDraw, etc. His prowess in handling graphic design concepts has made him a leader in each of the companies where he works. He is skilled in HTML, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, C++, Java, C#, Oracle database, Hadoop, NoSQL database, Semantic Web, MVC, CSS, JSON, Content Management System (CMS) like Joomla, Wordpress, etc.

Basil is a team player and a capable team leader. His personal component and willingness to learn has helped him make huge strides in his career.
