Speedy deletion of Co-occurrence networks

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Co-occurrence networks requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. ukexpat (talk) 18:59, 16 May 2008 (UTC) [reply]

Solar One

[edit]

Hey, thx for the infor on Solar One's Financial information. Great find by the way. TheAsianGURU (talk) 19:59, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, thank you for the message. Sorry, I don’t have any Sr. contacts in China in the Energy Field. Regarding solar power, China is currently going thru a phase (just like the rest of the world) that they need to pick between Solar Panels, Solar One Style Towers or Parabolic trough Fields like in the 1 in we have in Kramer Junction, CA. These 3 schools of thoughts all have their own advantages with their own short comings. TheAsianGURU (talk) 23:42, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How to vote

[edit]

Regarding your question "How do you vote in this poll? Is there a button somewhere? Touch-screen?" It is no longer possible to do so as the poll closed a few hours ago. Please note that your unsigned post (posts need to be signed with 4 tildes, not 2) was moved to the bottom of that page per standard Wikipedia Talk page policy. New post location is Wikipedia_talk:Flagged_revisions/Trial#How_can_I_vote Dbiel (Talk) 02:04, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi John, I noticed that in all the comments left in regard to your question, I am not sure if maybe you were asking in general how to vote. No one answered that question, so I'll waste a little space here. Specifically, you would go to the page where the Support and Opposes are being listed, by clicking a text link or two. To vote, you just edit the section containing the vote you wanted to make by editing the source code of the page like any talk page or article. Put your vote at the end of the section, The code you add goes like this:
#'''Support''' I support flagged revisions because I think flags are really cool. But which flag to use? Does Wikipedia have a flag?~~~~ .
Note that the # adds a number in front, and three 's make the text bold. Sign your vote with your signature by typing the four tildes. What this code looks like is below:
  1. Support I support flagged revisions because I think flags are really cool. But which flag to use? Does Wikipedia have a flag? Diderot's dreams (talk) 14:47, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hope this helps, happy voting. Diderot's dreams (talk) 14:47, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:WashingtonCharcrete.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:WashingtonCharcrete.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 20:05, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:WashingtonCharcreteSink.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. J Milburn (talk) 21:31, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 04:54, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Heterosis

[edit]

Hi, about your recent edit on the talk page, discussing proposed changes. The best article that I know of that explains the gene-balance hypothesis is this one, but it would be challenging to summarize why and how this relates to the heterosis arguments. Let me know if you want to read it but don't have access to the article, I could send it to you by email. (My email address is on my web page.) Veitia, R.A.; Bottani, S.; Birchler, J.A. (2008).
