Geo(r)ge Vanier Elementary/Catholic School
[edit]I see you are trying to do something about deleting an article about this school [1], but looking at your edit history I am not sure which is the correct name for the school and which is the exact spelling of the article you are trying to delete. If you give me a rundown of what should be kept and what should be deleted, I can advise you as to how to deal with those articles (perhaps one or more of them should be a redirect to the correct name instead). --Metropolitan90 02:44, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
Thanks Metropolitan. The correct spelling of the school name is "Georges Vanier Catholic School". I have created the correct page and (tried) to delete two mispelled title pages "Geoge Vanier..." and "George Vanier...". Any assistance appreciated!
- Putting the "speedy delete" tag on the pages that are incorrectly spelled should work. However, since an AfD page was created for Geoge Vanier elementary school, I fixed the nomination (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Geoge Vanier elementary school) and listed it on the daily AfD log. --Metropolitan90 04:38, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
- You know, you can just move the article using the move tab at the top of the page. It would eliminate the whole admin/speedy delete/afd confusion. Alphachimp talk 06:53, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
Quite happy for this to be prodded if he doesn't meet WP:ACADEMIC. I removed the speedy because there were indications that he may be notable and htha was enough to avoid speedy as the requirements to avoid speedy are lower than the general notability requirements (this is to ensure only clear cut cases are speedied - see WP:CSD).
