Neutrality:

• Individual Definition: Neutrality is not supporting a side or an idea.
• Merging Definition: Neutrality is being able to stay in the middle and not producing any bias.

Evaluating Sources:

How do we define good?

• A good source is one that is written by a scholar who is familiar with the subject. Another good source is one that presents both sides of an argument.

What are some good sources?

• A good source is Primary Sources. (gov't docs, INGO doc)
• a scholar source (Secondary Sources) - peered reviewed in the expert community (academic journey, books released by university press)

Excluded from Wikipedia:

• News Article: they often have an agenda.
• Blogs: it mainly opinions without facts/substance.
• Press Releases: only highlights the positives.
• Social Media: bias and often misguided.
• Vanity Press (self-published)

How do you think Wiki Ed Foundation partnerships have changed who authors Wikipedia pages?

• This partnership changed authors for the best. Students and Instructors who are involved in this process have to go through training. This partnership also makes sure that the things that are being published are facts rather than someone's opinion.
