notice of vandal
notice of vandal breaking one of your final warnings ... on may 8th 2006. I lack block power, or it would be done ... I hate data entropy, especially intentional data entropy! -- ∞Dbroadwell 16:02, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
- I posted it on the noticeboard, so the block was expected. -- ∞Dbroadwell 22:24, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
Questions:(Reply at my talk page)
Question 1. Are you an Administrator?
Question 2a. If you are when did you become an administrator?
Question 2b. If you're not has anyone nominated you to become one?
Question 3. Would you like to become an administrator someday?

Passports
Late answer to [1]: yes, one can keep two or more passports. I do not know reason for this and do not have reference but have two valid passports of my own. Pavel Vozenilek 22:26, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
Hmm.
Can you explain to me please why you posted a test1 warning on my vandalise page? I encourage Wikipedians to post what they like as long as it isn't clear vandalism. Thanks. — nathanrdotcom (Got something to say? Say it.) 09:28, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
Map
I got the coordinates from the original (Image:Wm2006.png) just by using Paint Shop Pro. Any image editor will tell you which pixel you are pointing at. Once I logged all those I divided them by the width to give normalised coordinates (so it can be rescaled), then a bit of CSS hacking (see {{tl:Image label}}) to overlay the labels. ed g2s • talk 14:26, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
Votes
I wonder if you'd consider not using symbols to label your comments on WP:AFD. It really isn't a vote, but your use of symbols might inadvertently emphasize the false impression that it is. --Tony Sidaway 23:24, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

Logo
Well, the original logo is copyright Wikimedia foundation, and not freely licensed, and from what I was told, the edits to the logo were licensed under cc-by-nc - another non-free license. So there is no way the logo is free. If it isn't free then we can only use it under fair use. Thanks, ed g2s • talk 13:57, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
- All the more reason not to use. But we can still claim fair use on the article about Unencyclopaedia. ed g2s • talk 14:32, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
- Indeed, but he has shown a lack of interest in rational thought. ed g2s • talk 14:43, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
- This is quite amusing as well: User:Travb/Misguided and heavy handed tactics of some admins regarding copyright. ed g2s • talk 14:45, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
- Since the user now gave us all permission to use this logo (Since ed never bothered to ask him for permission in the first place, which is typical of paternal copyright police such as yourselves), I wanted to celebrate by adding the logo here, on your talk page. Enjoy it! Let it stand as a remind of how misguided and heavy handed your tactics truly are.Travb 15:43, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
leave me alone
RE: I have restored this section, and I say it again, you may not remove warnings/blockings. If you want to change Wikipedia, being a vandal is not the right way to do so. Or start your own encyclopedia. +Hexagon1 (talk) 07:38, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
In the past week, I have had about 6 wikipedians, including yourself, modify my own talk page. First there was User:ed_g2s who deleted thousands of images without bothering to ask the author of the image about this. He kept changing my talk page, repeatedly.
Then there was User:9cds who revert my page after I kept the warning on my page.
Then there was Tony, who didn't like what I was writing about the hypocricy of some admins.
Then there was you, whose bias is obvious and who simply wants to make my life uncomfortable because of your disagreement with my views. Your actions, and the actions of others, reminded how post Soviet companies, who fall out of disfavor with the authorities, suddenly get inspected by the local fire marshal, the tax collector, etc. Dissent is always praised in countries like this, by people like yourself, but dissent in your own country and on wikipedia, is frowned down upon, and even crushed. Your hypocricy is incredible but sadly common.
And for the record. I created a fourth archive of messages here:
User_talk:Travb/Archive_4 with all of the warning messages you state that I am deleting. Tony reverted my page, protected it, and deleted all of my work which I had done, I am still in the process of rebuilding my page to the way it was. Please don't freak out if I decide to archive your important message. Need I remind you that the rules allow even outcasts such as myself to archive my own messages.
I await a self-righteous response condeming me for even suggesting that you are a hypocrite, and how you are only following the rules and admonishing me to do the same. Typical, very typical.

Ecuadorian passport
Dear Hexagon,
I doubt I'm seriously illegally travelling on a Swiss passport. In fact, I'm 100% sure I'm not. My father is a Swiss diplomat, and as such I, his son, also have one. So you see, it's rather impossible. I'd love to be able to satisfy your craving for citation, but you forget, Ecuador is a third world country. It doesn't have the infrastructure nor the money to upload all its legaslation, to make it accessible to all the world. So getting a copy of this legaslation to send to you will be impossible, since Ecuador does not have a mission here in Bucharest, Romania (where my father is currently posted). Though we are working on it.
Thank you. 85.186.177.202 11:01, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
Red Cross
Hi, I have reverted your edit to Emblems of the Red Cross. As far as I can tell from brief googling, the Red Cross emblem is very much Christian, being a modification of the Swiss flag[2], which was derived from a flag having something to do with the Holy Roman Empire, representing its religion, Christianity[3]. (This is a bit vague; I’ll search more if you wish.) Thus, although the Red Cross emblem is not a direct derivation of the Christian emblem, it is close enough to count as a derivation for non‑Christians. I have, however, made a small change to indicate that the emblems aren’t actually organisationally connected to any religion. —xyzzyn 15:12, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

Have tried a hard-unblock of the IP as I couldn't find it in the block log. Try editing. NSLE (T+C) at 07:06 UTC (2006-05-26)
Locations map
This picture sent shiver down my backbone. It is very, very distracting colorwise. Pavel Vozenilek 03:15, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- There are widely different opinions on value of aliasing (mostly concentrating on fonts).
- I was adding current maps for over a year - will you be able/willing to replace them yourselves? I have enough of work of my own (a plan to create stub for every single village in CR).
- The way I place the red point in my maps is unprecise (looking on large map and trying to make it the same) and I "reuse" single map for as many locations as possible (I am very lazy). My sloppiness would be much easier to spot on the (new) map. It may be possible to generate the maps automatically but this may mean huge demand on Commons and lot of work to handle places of the same name.
- There was an attempt to create another map (dozen of maps still lie in Commons) but the guy didn't use them anywhere and stopped after while.
- What may, in some distant future, on more technologically advanced WP, happen is that the pics are templates and the template expands according to individual user settings. This would enable experimentation and easier replacement. Pavel Vozenilek 03:33, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- Btw, if you sometimes find a time to translate article about some town/village/castle/scientist/technical curiosity/whatever from Czech Wiki it would be much welcomed. I try to but I am quite limited in time and being mere programmer I lack domain specific terminology for other areas.
- AFAIK there's no coordination between Czech and English Wiki in dealing with CR related articles. I occasionally try to lure those experts appearing on cs: to translate their texts to English. Pavel Vozenilek 03:51, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

Yes, sure the script CAN be expanded, but currently I'm quite busy and unlikely to try implement it. You could ask at WP:US if there are any volunteers (if they base it on my script, half the job is done). jnothman talk 12:48, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

Office articles
Your going ahead and changing the article names without seeking consensus isn't appreciated, especially considering that you made the decision to do so without any kind of support from regular editors of the article. Your opinion as a Wikipedian is welcome, of course, but as someone who doesn't do any kind of editing regarding Microsoft-related product pages, you really need to be significantly more considerate of the opinions of other editors who invest a large proportion of their time here on closely related articles. This isn't a WP:OWN thing, this is a local knowledge thing. Remember, consensus is a cornerstone of how we operate here... I shouldn't need to explain that to you. Warrens 03:12, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
- You should have gone for the moves with the "Requested Moves" path, as it was clearly disputed. So a vote would have been better. --soUmyaSch 05:40, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
Czech citizenship
Hi. I write you here not on the cs.wiki. See there cs:Diskuse:Občanství České republiky, where some people argue this article could be deleted. I think strongly it is a nonsence. But, as you wrote this english article, mightbe you could have a look there and to say something in the talk page or better you could add something to the article itself :-). I think there are many possibilities what could be included in. Ciao, -jkb- 16:35, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

You are correct, I incorporate {{subst:CURRENTTIME}} (DATE, MONTH, YEAR etc; all subst:ed) and use three tildes to sign. NSLE (T+C) at 10:18 UTC (2006-05-30)
