Please stop adding the same unsourced information to Santa Baby. Even if it were sourced, there would be no reason to have an infobox with the artist's name and album cover - it is just one of many cover versions. Thanks. Delicious carbuncle (talk) 14:19, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Uncovered (album)

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Uncovered (album), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Unremarkable album by non-notable singer (see WP:MUSIC & WP:NOTABILITY)

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Speedy deletion of Cynthia Basinet

A tag has been placed on Cynthia Basinet requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Delicious carbuncle (talk) 22:39, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Please stop

Please stop adding unsourced material about Cynthia Basinet to Santa Baby. Wikipedia pages can not be used as references. There was no reason for you to remove the other material. You can tag it as unsourced if you wish, but simply removing it is not helpful. Your edits are starting to become disruptive. Please stop. Delicious carbuncle (talk) 01:49, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

Removal of Content

As mentioned before, please quit removing content from Santa Baby and replacing it with info on a non-notable music artist. I'm not going to give you a template, but please be aware that continuous content removal is considered vandalism. --Smashvilletalk 07:15, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Cynthia Basinet Santa Baby 2007.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Cynthia Basinet Santa Baby 2007.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. Resolved

Thanks for uploading File:Baywatch hawaiian wedding DVD cover.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Thanks for uploading File:Frontline logo.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 19:13, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Ciara - Love Sex Magic Single Cover.png

Thank you for uploading File:Ciara - Love Sex Magic Single Cover.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Σxplicit 19:23, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

Template moves

Hi,

Your move of Template:Infobox public organisation broke the template documentation. Please note that "organisation" is the British spelling for the subject, and that our guidelines at WP:ENGVAR say that pages should not be arbitrarily swapped from one dialect of English to another without discussion. I have moved the page back. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 11:00, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

Apologies. Your candor and courteousness is appreciated. --JohnDoe0007 (talk) 11:03, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
Hello, I noticed you've made edits to University of Texas at Austin articles and thought you might want to become a member of the UT Austin WikiProject. We've recently revamped the project page and started a drive to improve UT Austin-related articles. We have a lot of articles under our project and would like assistance getting them to featured article status. Hope you'll join us. Hook 'em Horns!

2002 Olympic Winter Games figure skating scandal

Thanks for the edits to 2002 Olympic Winter Games figure skating scandal. FYI, in order for the templates {{fact}} and {{refimprovesect}} to automagically categorize things, the full month name must be used, not just the three letter short version. I didn't know either until I saw the red category links. :) Thanks. your diff. — MrDolomite • Talk 17:04, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

Thanks. Good looking out. --JohnDoe0007 (talk) 10:17, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
