Nurse Anesthetists
[edit]Thanks for your reply 22 May. I plan to start working on the references tomorrow. I read the Wiki policy on references and understand your point. Eclipse Anesthesia 22:58, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
Nurse Anesthetist
[edit]OK, I got your point on cite references. You do not need to put a banner at the top of the page. I am working on providing references, but this takes time, and unfortunately, I have to work for a living. Please be patient. Also be reminded that the History page does need to be referenced, however, the other sections are common knowledge to most CRNAs in America, easily verified at state or national CRNA organizations. Also "Please recondsider quoting your references, or I will start to remove unsupported content." Do you just hate American nurses? This is the kind of conduct I would expect to find from anti CRNA individuals Eclipse Anesthesia 20:37, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
Abdominal thrusts
[edit]Hi John,
I would like an opinion from anyone on the first aid project who can help, and i know it's your baby, so i thought i'd come here first... I strongly believe that abdominal thrusts does not need it's own article, and should be redirected to choking, where we can have one coherent article on the subject. I think this should be the case because:
- Abdominal thrusts are only used for choking, and therefore logically sit in that article
- With how-tos removed from abdominal thrusts, the article is very short, verging on being a stub
- It avoids people looking either term up having to flick between pages to find the information they require
- It follows the logic of some other similar changes on the project such as the creation of Emergency bleeding control from the stubs of tourniquet, pressure point etc.
- It provides a single place of reference on Wikipedia for the information, rather than two 'competing' pages who repeat a lot of the same information
I would very much appreciate any input you might have to support or oppose my view (hey, i'm not right all the time) on the talk page Talk:Abdominal thrusts
Thanks for your time, Owain.davies 18:12, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry to bother you again, and i know you commented, but i'm having a few issues with another user reverting the edit, without very much reasoned basis - if you are able to help, the talk page is still at Talk:Abdominal thrusts. Thanks Owain.davies 12:41, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for all your help on this. I was starting to lose my composure... I will definately give some more input to the main choking article to justify everyone's opinion!

Hi - You are incorrect the changes i made had not been agreed to prior to my reverts. DXRAW 08:00, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
John, I noticed your question on Mark's page. Is there consensus for the prefered location of the Abdominal thrusts article? If so, do you have a diff for where this consensus was reached? Thanks, Sarah 08:19, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
So the consensus was the article Abdominal Thrusts (which is now located at Heimlich Manoeuvre) should be redirected to Choking but instead of that, the article was moved to Heimlich Manoeuvre? Sarah 08:38, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
Okay, John, Abdominal thrusts is now a protected redirect to Choking and Heimlich Manouvre is deleted (you may want to make that aredirect to Choking as well). Please check what I've done and make sure it is correct. Thanks, Sarah 08:55, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
- My pleasure, John. Always happy to help a fellow nurse. :) Your friend claims to have left due to us all being "wankers", so hopefully you won't have anymore problems, but if you ever need a hand with anything, feel free to drop by my talk page. By the way, I noticed on your user page that you have a dead category on it. Category:Nurse Wikipedians was deleted in August last year and there is now a new category Category:Wikipedian nurses. I was going to fix it for you, but I was unable to find the categories when I opened it to edit and figured you must be transcluding them from somewhere? Anyway, you may want to remove or replace that dead category sometime. Take care, Sarah 05:35, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
- Don't worry about my previous comment regarding the dead category. I had a poke around and found that the "NHS nurse" userbox you are using was automatically categorising everyone who had it on their page into the deleted Nurse Wikipedians category. So I updated the userbox and your userpage is now categorising you correctly. Cheers, Sarah 05:50, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
