Gotland Museum
[edit]Hi Johanna, welcome to the English Wikipedia. Thanks for your update on Gotland Museum, an article I've created. I'm Swedish too, but since this is the international English Wiki, all conversations are in English. I'm going to drop som useful links here on your talk page on how to edit the WP, in case you want to do any further edits. Since you are into digitized media, it might be good if you were more familiar with the WP system.
While I'm at it, I saw online that you are probably the Johanna Pietikäinen who wrote Heartists - Konstnärsparet Carolina Benedicks-Bruce och William Blair Bruce. If so, let me introduce you to another Wikipedian: Joan Arden Murray, the author of Letters home, 1859-1906 : the letters of William Blair Bruce. You two might have things to talk about. All the best, cart-Talk 11:11, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
- Hi W.Carter! And thank you so much for your welcome and the very useful links! It was about time for me to create an account. And yes, I am the author of the book about CBB and WBB - and I'm very familiar with Joan Murray - though thanks for the thought! See you around, Best, JohannaPietikäinen (talk) 12:02, 24 June 2020 (UTC)
- You're welcome. :-) If you read through some of the tips and things in the welcome message, it'll be so much easier for you to edit. I'll keep an eye on your edits for a while since you are a newbie and don't know everything yet. Joan is a very active editor here in the art history department and I'm sort of a 'guardian angel' of all articles Gotland. I lived there for some 25 years and I've worked with and created many articles related to it, among them the English Brucebo and Gotland Museum related articles. My current fad is doing articles for all the sockens and geographical landmarks on the island. it's always nice to know some editors that share your interests, so you can ask for help or just be sounding boards for each other.
- Now during corona, I'm very busy offline, but I pop in from time to time to check on things. If you need some help you can always ask on my or Joan Arden Murray's talk page. There is also Yakikaki who specializes in Swedish churches and has written most of the articles on Gotland's churches, church ruins and the Visby City Wall. All of us ladies, so welcome to the gang. :-) cart-Talk 15:56, 24 June 2020 (UTC)
