Regarding edits to Niamh Algar article
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Niamh Algar, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Please be aware also that the standard of proof for adding a date of birth for living people is higher, per WP:DOB H. Carver (talk) 20:30, 23 August 2021 (UTC)
- You only have one source for the DOB you keep adding. This is not enough to justify the addtion per WP:DOB, which requires the DOB to be 'widely published'. In addition, "the standard for inclusion of personal information of living persons is higher than mere existence of a reliable source that could be verified", so simply having one source giving her age at one point in the past doesn't do enough to clear that bar. Until such a time as multiple reliable sources report a birth date or age, it's not appropriate to give undue weight to it in the article (and even then it may still not be appropriate to add, per the policy cited above).
