Hello, Fellow de-orphaner!
[edit]I noticed you added your name to the list of participants in WikiProject Orphanage. We really appreciate your help! The first things you could do to get started with us are:
- Read the Wikipedia:WikiProject Orphanage page, especially the section marked "Criteria". The page contains a lot of good advice to get you started, as well as the standard procedures we are using to de-orphan articles.
- Look at {{orphan}},{{do-attempt}}, and {{articleissues}} closely and make sure you know how to use them correctly. (It's not difficult, but it is easy to screw up. Trust me, I have.)
- Keep de-orphaning! Category:Orphaned articles contains all orphaned articles organized by month. Right now we're just trying to keep up with all the new orphans being created, so please start with the current monthly category. Once those are cleared out, we can start working on the backlog in reverse-chronological order.
- Of course, you may have already known all of this, in which case sorry for the spam. Either way, let me know if there's any way I can help you contribute more to the project!--Aervanath lives in the Orphanage 14:01, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

UF pages expansion help
[edit]Hello there! I noticed your note on WikiProject UF about expanding some of the articles. I have a pretty decent camera and I enjoy taking pictures, so if you need a picture for ANY article please drop me a line and let me know what I can get for you. I figure finding good pictures of buildings and other landmarks would help me get to know the campus better while I'm at it. I'd love to contribute anything I can so just let me know! I have a lot of free time as a grad student :-) Fliry Vorru (talk) 01:19, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you for the offer! Pictures would definitely be a fantastic help. Pretty much all the dorms need pictures taken except for Sledd/Murphree/the others in that area, but the Yulee area and Turlington definitely need their pictures taken. I think the colleges might benefit from getting pictures too, like the College of Fine Arts and the Warrington Business School. The Harn needs some shots too, I think. If you need directions anywhere, just let me know; I know the campus pretty well. Thank you again, and feel free to take your time! I need to expand the article text on a lot of them too. Expertise from UF pages
[edit]I am trying to expand Virginia Tech's presence on Wikipedia; however, many of the college pages are getting tagged for advertisement. I was wondering how you avoided this issue? I am not trying to promote the college, but rather just provide information that a potential student may want to know about. Any help or advice you have would be much appreciated.VTMintern (talk) 18:10, 14 September 2011 (UTC)VTMintern
Orphaned non-free media (File:Tokidoki logo.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Tokidoki logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:15, 18 November 2012 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
