Personally, I favour the 'back and forth' method of Wiki communication. But I'm fine either way.
Please read Wikipedia:Notability (books). Links to first-party websites are not good enough to meet these criteria. I've added some links to third party-reviews, but since these are web-published sources, I'm unclear as to whether even these are sufficient to meet the criteria. -- The Anome (talk) 11:13, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
Ah. I see you have now reverted my edits, just as you reverted the edits of the previous editor. Remarkably, your edits have restored the three links to the author's website, removing the two links to third-party sources that I added. Perhaps you are under the impression the you WP:OWN this article, and Wikipedia's rules do not apply to you, providing you are simply energetic enough at reverting other editors to preserve your chosen version of the article? -- The Anome (talk) 11:23, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
If you want this article to be kept, you will need to add references that show it meets the Wikipedia:Notability (books) criteria. Links to the author's own website do not meet the WP:RS criteria. -- The Anome (talk) 11:28, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
OK, that's better than the previous version. However, I'd appreciate it if you could provide more evidence that the book meets point 1 of the Wikipedia:Notability (books) criteria, since it does not seem meet any of points 2 to 5.
It would also help if the article contained more than simply an indication of the mere existence of the book and its relationship to its author. Wikipedia is not a catalog or an indiscriminate collection of information: see WP:NOT -- The Anome (talk) 11:32, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
Sure. My aim isn't to get rid of your article , but to help you and others to bring it up to Wikipedia's article creation criteria and general standards for encyclopedia articles. However, if, after editing, it still cannot be shown to meet those criteria, someone will eventually delete it. -- The Anome (talk) 11:38, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
License tagging for File:Hotel Lanassa logo.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Hotel Lanassa logo.gif. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 23:07, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Hotel Lanassa
[edit]A tag has been placed on Hotel Lanassa requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Constantine ✍ 00:04, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
- Hello! You should ask an admin to recover the text for you, I cannot see deleted pages. However be advised that unless something is found that would confer notability on the hotel, it will get deleted. Wikipedia is not here for the promotion of companies... Constantine ✍ 16:15, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
- I didn't think you were, and anyhow, it does not matter. If it serves no educational value, it serves essentially as an ad listing. Constantine ✍ 19:05, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
- Hi. :) The article is now at User:Jmenkus/Hotel Lanassa. I've had to remove the logo, as non-free images cannot be displayed in user space. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 10:47, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
- No problem. Enjoy it :) Constantine ✍ 13:11, 1 September 2010 (UTC)

New deal for page patrollers
[edit]Hi Jmenkus,
In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.
Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.
Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:28, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
