I would appreciate your help :-D

You just reversed an edit I did on Jörg Vincent Malotki. I added IMDB citations / references. I also added quite a few wikipedia links, too. I am puzzled whey I still see that it need more references or citations. Can the German Wikipedia page for Jörg Vincent Malotki be a reference? https://de.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Jörg_Vincent_Malotki&stable=1 How can I link to a German Wikipedia page? Cheers, Vince JVMalotki (talk) 18:00, 12 August 2021 (UTC)

JVMalotki, You can link to a German Wikipedia page, but neither IMDB or Wikipedia can be cited as a reference. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 18:41, 12 August 2021 (UTC)
JVMalotki Inter-language links can be made with the {{ILL}} template. {{ill|Jörg_Vincent_Malotki|de|display=1}} will come out looking like Jörg_Vincent_Malotki [de] - I had to include the display=1 parameter because the template would otherwise only link to the new article on en-wiki. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 22:36, 12 August 2021 (UTC)

Thank you four your kindness

Hello jmcgnh,

I wanted to thank you for your patient support on IRC, showing me a it of the ropes, and for being friendly to me recently, despite the on-going trolling suspicions from German Wikipedia. (You don't need to answer that part, as that might interfere with your voluntary work duties, or something like that.)
Only this morning did I realize what I have naively stumbled into and might have becaused behind the scenes. By my insistently asking for a rule there as well as by shouting for help from far above at a very early stage.
I really did not plan to escalate it that far, but I was also afraid that my favorite hobby (contributing to Wikipedia) might be taken away by this strange mis-identification. --ΟΥΤΙΣ (talk) 18:04, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
