Welcome
[edit]Hello, Jmac64755, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your edits have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may be removed if they have not yet been. [edit]Your recent edits to Missouri community articles are being undone because you failed to include WP:reliable sources to support your content additions. Any content you add to Wikipedia articles must be supported by valid published references. Thank you, Vsmith (talk) 00:56, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
RE: References Required
[edit]Thank you for contacting me. I did not include all my sources as I was waiting to determine which mods observed the pages I edited - and here you all are! I have had issues in the past with mods not accepting any sources I submitted regarding these very rural communities (local newspapers, regionally published histories, court records, etc.) Very rarely have any of these communities been mentioned in any media published by a major firm based on the coasts.
I also have trouble understanding how make citations - I have been told inline citations are insufficient, however, I have been unable to work the syntax to make it appear correct on the page. I was informed by other users that a bot would come along and fix it, however one mod insisted on undoing everything I did until I figured out the syntax.
Please respond with what sources I am allowed to use and I will provide them.Jmac64755 (talk) 02:32, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
- Sorry - it appears I made a typo in my previous post. Fixed it, but here it is again: WP:Reliable sources. Vsmith (talk) 12:23, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
I've formatted the references for Pennsboro, Missouri to help you. May still need tweaking a bit. See if you can follow the same format on your other articles. My apologies for not taking the time to understand previously. Vsmith (talk) 13:05, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
