[edit]Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. Hi Jordan. Is there such a thing as a Fremantle Railway Station Logo? Correct me if I'm wrong but you appear to be using your artistic skills to devise an image which purports to be a copy of an official logo. Do you have a photo of an official logo which looks like this one? Please let me know the background to this. —Moondyne click! 08:51, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
- OK. I'd not seen it before. I presume scale, font, borders, text colour and background colours are all reasonably accurate. —Moondyne click! 09:29, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
I hate to be picky, but your fair use rationale is confusing.
- Description: This is a logo owned by Jordan Long for Fremantle railway station, Perth. Further details: Fremantle Station Sign
- Source: The logo may be obtained from Jordan Long.
If it is a copy of an official logo, you don't "own" it - Transperth owns the logo and you are merely presenting a facsimile copy which you created. It is not "obtainable" by contacting you - anyone can get it by viewing the page. If you need help to fix, please ask. —Moondyne click! 09:43, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
- OK, I tidied it up and added a license tag as required also. You can modify it if needed, but I suspect its OK now. —Moondyne click! 10:57, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:Fremantle station sign1.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Fremantle station sign1.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:20, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:North fremantle.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:North fremantle.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Transperth train line map
[edit]I am currently making a transperth trainline map like the one on their trains - it will have some extra information on it unlike their one!--Jlong2008 (talk) 09:53, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
- Do we need another one? What will it have that Image:TransperthRailwayMap.svg doesn't? —Moondyne click! 10:51, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
- Jlong, will making a new map improve the article? Provide more clarity? Provide more information? A new map would be good if it can be further improved on the current one. Would you care to share your improvements? 리지강.wa.au talk 11:05, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
- It will be in a way like the one on the trains... a map which people that use the train will be able to understand--Jlong2008 (talk) 11:23, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

I also question the need for the signs/logs above (Image:North fremantle.jpg and Image:Fremantle Station Logo.jpg). Do they really improve the articles? Sorry, but I don't think so and I'd like to ask you to reconsider before spending time creating more of similar. As for a new map, the one I mentioned above is very, very good and I fear you may spend a lot of time creating something that is similar and may just get discarded. I can't stop you creating something new but be aware that there isn't room for two similar maps in the articles. The articles are bursting at the seams already with graphics and this degrades the articles, it doesn't improve them.
Jordan, please don't be discouraged - we really do appreciate you contributing, but be aware that what the articles really need is prose, not maps and images - words about the history of stations, the lines and the general infrastructure.
Also, please don't post the same message all over the Wikipedia, most of the regulars have each others talk pages and the respective project pages watchlisted, so a single posting to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Western Australia would probably have sufficed. Multiple postings just annoy people. —Moondyne click! 11:40, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
- By the way, there is also Image:Perth Railway map.svg which is probably similar to what you're talking about. —Moondyne click! 12:53, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
Spellcheck
[edit]History not histery, and please note that if you find information and copy it out - you will find that someone will revert your edit. Why? because copying someones elses work is breaching copyright - you must attribute sources and try not to copy out as is - please try to find some way of correcting your spelling - thanks SatuSuro 03:15, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
