Speedy deletion nomination of Richard Dornbush
[edit]A tag has been placed on Richard Dornbush requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. I use the figure skating pages a lot and I noticed many of the skaters listed at the 2010 United States Figure Skating Championships page don't have links that go anywhere. It bugged me enough that I created six new pages for six skaters who placed well at the championship , so that when I click on those skaters, some basic info comes up. --Jlai2003 (talk) 00:12, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
- I was admittedly too hasty in nominating them for speedy deletion. Going back on a couple of them, I see that they do have some notable accomplishments. I believe all the CSD tags have Bern removed from the article, and you can delete the tags here on your talk page too. I added some references to your Richard Dornbush article, and tried to give you suggestions for improving the article on another. If these are subjects you are interested in and have knowledge of, please consider making the articles even better by continuing to edit them and add sources and expand the information that you initially included. Cheers. Hope4Kids (talk) 02:10, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
- I'm trying to finish up a course but when I'm done I should have some time to expand on these bios. That would be a good way to cure figure skating withdrawal. Can't wait for the next season to start LOL --Jlai2003 (talk) 02:59, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
