Perhaps establish deadlines now, so as to eliminate any room for waffling?Strombollii (talk) 02:37, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just a heads up to the others posting references. Make sure you put all your citing info inside the }} that is on its own line towards the bottom of the reference part Dmanrulz180 (talk) 21:38, 28 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

For my reference i had to add the entire reference to the end of my fact and then have it again at the bottom of the page, did any others have to do this? --Krustev LeMont (talk) 01:04, 30 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You shouldn't have to do this if you use
<ref name="foo"/>
in the article and
<ref name="foo">{{citation...}}</ref>
in the footnotes, making sure that the <ref> tags have the same name attribute.Der Elbenkoenig (talk) 21:36, 2 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I know many people are having similar problems, did anybody figure theirs out? If so, please share the knowledge... I have followed all directions that I'm aware of and have gotten NOWHERE! --Stanfordbound 14 (talk) 22:40, 2 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding blogs

[edit]

My perception of a blog is not so different from a "home-made" web site. The person that submits the information may have good intent; however, is there any peer-review? Most likely, thee information is gleaned from other sources that may be reliable. If you are lucky, the may cite the information, in which case you can verify and perhaps use the "published" reference. Otherwise, the element of trust is too great. There may be exceptions and likely not everyone would agree. Although, I suspect such sources would be challenged in an FA attempt.--JimmyButler (talk) 12:04, 30 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe this will be of assistance

Ref tutorial.

It explains the process of referencing pretty simply if anyone is having trouble grasping the concepts. Vancemiller (talk · contribs · count · email) 21:59, 2 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
