I have copyedited the draft. A couple of comments, though:

  • First of all, you need better sources: Reliable sources that are independent of the subject and discuss him in some detail. Newspaper articles about him or reviews in art magazines would make good sources.
  • Secondly, you should move the <ref>...</ref> tags into the article content itself, right after the statement you're citing that particular source for. See WP:Referencing for beginners for an explanation of how to easily create nicely-formatted footnotes. The "References" section should contain only the {{reflist}} template that will display the footnotes.
  • Thirdly, prose is by far preferable to the draft's current bullet point style. While I fixed the layout so that the points now each have a line of their own, that's not meant as an endorsement of the style. In particular, I'd suggest to remove the vast majority of the exhibitions and to instead focus on one or two high-profile ones, with a summary of comments by art critics discussing the works he exhibited.
  • Fourthly, you may want to add more links to relevant Wikipedia articles as a convenience for our readers. I've added a few to the lead.

The most important of these issues, though, is the lack of independent sources; without better sources that support the draft's content we cannot have an article about Ferry. Huon (talk) 22:02, 10 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Jill Haigh. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "John Ferry".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/John Ferry}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 22:03, 3 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
