Welcome
[edit]Hello, Jgrennel and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students.
If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}}
before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.
Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.
Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one please tell your instructor about that. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}}
on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.
We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! --Animalparty! (talk) 02:23, 29 November 2016 (UTC)

Finding an article
[edit]To find a good article to edit, check WikiProject Mass spectrometry, especially sections on articles by quality and importance: Wikipedia:WikiProject Mass spectrometry#Assessment; and articles by popularity: Wikipedia:WikiProject Mass spectrometry#Popular pages. There is also a tool that you can use to sort articles, for example Stub[1]and Start[2] class. Remember the goal is to move an article up two quality units: nothing to Start, Stub to C, or Start to B. --Kkmurray (talk) 02:42, 19 January 2017 (UTC)
Hello
[edit]This is Kendra. I will be reviewing your page for the Mass Spec class. Happy editing! (KJenkin94 (talk) 16:39, 30 January 2017 (UTC))
February 2017
[edit]Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
I noticed your recent edit to Thermal ionization does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Don't forget to use edit summaries! Topic
[edit]Laser spray ionization will be OK, but you will have to navigate the multiple uses and integrate with inlet ionization. --Kkmurray (talk) 20:42, 13 February 2017 (UTC)
You have an overdue training assignment.
[edit]Please complete the assigned training modules. --Kkmurray (talk) 22:51, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for April 4
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Laser spray ionization, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Matrix. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
