Hello, Jgraha17, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Time to get to work

[edit]

Your thingy got tagged for being an empty section. Need to fill that up, references and all. And obviously I need to see a few sections below this, with those exercises on it. Dr Aaij (talk) 01:07, 29 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi! I tweaked the writing a little to fix the raw URL links. I changed the writing to remove the word "despite" since that's seen as a little bit of a loaded word since it could be seen as an opinion depending on how it's used. It's generally better to not use it if it can be helped. I also linked to the page for the artist Mark Cline - the page itself actually needs some work if you'd be interested in improving his article. OK, that's something. I found two more articles, this and this. And maybe you can get 1500 characters out of it, enough for DYK, but I saw nothing in Google Books, for instance, so that's going to be hard. So, again, look elsewhere for a more historical person or event... Dr Aaij (talk) 03:00, 15 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • As for Mary Ann Neeley, if you get to work and expand it (there's plenty more sources), you can get this up for DYK and thus get more points. You need to find book reviews, and you need to create a section for her work as a local historian and guide, which she did for years and years. Pull some of the material out of the lead (excess detail) and beef up the main text. Dr Aaij (talk) 16:15, 19 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
