Image Tagging for Image:Fb-22-line.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Fb-22-line.gif. The image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to indicate why we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies under Wikipedia's fair use guidelines, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. If you want the image to be deleted, tag it as {{db-unksource}}.
If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.

- This issue has now been addressed; I concur that the image should be removed. Jgarth 04:45, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Globus Music, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Importance). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree, discuss the issues raised at Talk:Globus Music. If you remove the {{dated prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. --Bugwit grunt / scribbles 01:56, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
- Updated notability criteria established. See Globus Music talkpage. Jgarth 04:45, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
Image:A350concept.JPG listed for deletion
[edit]- OK with me either way. It's useful to have this picture there; since it gives a good side view of the old A350 concept, for which images are notoriously hard to find. However given that Airbus have fully committed to the new XWB concept, I agree that there's some duplication there, and it may be better to replace this image with a side view of the A350 XWB, when one becomes available. Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Jgarth! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 265 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:
- Ben Witherington III - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- John Powell - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Fair use rationale for File:Devil at your heels title.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Devil at your heels title.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 22:50, 26 October 2010 (UTC)

The article Globus (music) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Unsourced and probably fails WP:MUSIC
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. pbp 04:02, 30 September 2012 (UTC)

Request unblock from admin Jimfbleak
[edit]Jgarth (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
Can I please request admin User:Jimfbleak unblock this IP address? It appears to have been blocked to prevent another user called "Aerosonde" from making edits from it. However I am an innocent user caught in this autoblock. It may be due to this being a shared network. If you look at my personal User page User:Jgarth you will find that I am a responsible Wikipedia user with a long history of writing reputable aerospace engineering and aviation articles. Many Thanks!
Ref: block ID 5759716. Jgarth (talk) 21:57, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
Accept reason:
Autoblock lifted. --jpgordon::==( o ) 00:35, 3 March 2015 (UTC)
- I'm not sure that autoblock isn't doing exactly the right thing. You're sharing an IP with the newly created account User:Aerosonde; 15 minutes after that user created a now-deleted promotional page, you edited for the first time in a year, on the same subject. Please clarify. --jpgordon::==( o ) 22:31, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
Hi User:Jpgordon, I'm happy to give you some background on this. I work for Aerosonde but have held off making updates to its Wikipedia page because I want to avoid conflict of interest. However in the last few days I have been whingeing to our business development guys that we really need to get the page updated because there is erroneous product history and technical information there. They wanted to set up a unique user account to do this activity. So I showed them how to set up an account, and then logged in as User: Jgarth for the first time in a year to add some "Proposed Updates" to the talk page to show how to make edits. It appears that the IP address is since been autoblocked. I am happy to go back and help sort this out, but first need the autoblock lifted! Would appreciate your help, I assure you that there is no malicious intent here. thanks Jgarth (talk) 22:49, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
- I know it's not malicious, but it's easy to fall afoul of Wikipedia's rather strict policies regarding COI. I'll lift the autoblock and you can show them how to properly edit here. --jpgordon::==( o ) 00:35, 3 March 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks User:Jpgordon, appreciate the helpful and quick response. I'm happy to help out and make sure any updates they make fully comply with COI policies. Cheers & have a good day! Jgarth (talk) 00:46, 3 March 2015 (UTC)
