User talk:Jfbennett
Welcome
[edit]Hello, Jfbennett, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. Unfortunately, it appears that the majority of your edits appear to involve adding links to an external web site that you own and produce. This is problematic in that it contradicts the conflict of interest, external link and spam guidelines. Several of your recent contributions have already been reverted for this very reason.
Based on my review of your site, and some comments I've seen elsewhere with regard to these links, it appears that there may be support for maintaining the links, although that is not unanimous. However, as the site's owner, you yourself cannot add the links. I would suggest that you instead post a notice at the Philosophy wikiproject, and seek input from editors as to the support for the links. It is important that you clearly identify your role in the site, so that the post is transparent.
If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}}
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Ckatzchatspy 03:30, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
- Please review the above, and discuss the link. While your site may well warrant inclusion if consensus supports it, you are not able to add the sites yourself as the site's owner. --Ckatzchatspy 11:11, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
