User talk:Jewishboy1984
Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. However, I noticed that your username (Jewboy1984) may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it uses "Jewboy", an ethnic slur. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account to use for editing. Thank you. Daniel Case (talk) 17:17, 27 October 2011 (UTC)
I got your message once I got my electricity back. I understand that you may have felt that way; that's why I didn't block you for it. However, I would feel a lot more comfortable with this choice of name if the community felt it was OK, and to that end I would like to open up a username request for comment where the community could consider whether we should allow a name like that if it is self-applied as a statement of pride. Would you be willing to take part? Daniel Case (talk) 16:13, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
I will ... but just to let you know, if the consensus is to disallow it, you will either have to change it or be blocked. (You can participate in the RFC freely, by the way). Daniel Case (talk) 16:35, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 10:49, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
