Use of user talk pages

[edit]

Please note that talk pages are provided for discussion of matters relating to work on developing the encyclopaedia, and not for inclusion of substantial material not connected to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a social networking site or a free web host. In addition, all of the material you have posted here has been copied from other web sites. (For example, some of it occurred a http://www.thoughts.com/jerseysela/sometime-it-may-causes-some-violent-things-in-the-football-game, and more of it on various sites, including http://forum.scubatoys.com/blogs/jerseysela-20703/different-versions-security-equipments-about-nhl-hockey-262/.) Copying text from other sites is almost never acceptable, as it is normally an infringement of copyright. If you wish to contribute to the encyclopaedia then I strongly suggest looking at some of the links in the welcome message that Mean as custard ha given you above to see how to do so. You are also welcome to contact me on my talk page if you have any questions. JamesBWatson (talk) 11:43, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the article User:Jerseysela, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition was deleted under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text—which means allowing other people to modify it—then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later, and the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License." You may also e-mail or mail the Foundation to release the content. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more.

While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. You can also leave a message on my talk page. JamesBWatson (talk) 11:48, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because your account is being used mainly for trolling, disruption or harassment. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.
