Just a note
[edit]Fair use images, such as that screenshot of Jeremie, can't be used on userpages. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 21:07, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
- Whoops! Didin't know that. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I'll have it deleted momentarily. :). --Jeremie@theLab 13:14, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
A similarity to a Pee-wee's Playhouse character?
[edit]Do you think Sissi is similar to Miss Yvonne? --User:Angie Y.
- From what I read on that link, in some respects the two characters are definitely similar (obsession with beauty, etc.) However, it doesn't sound like this Miss Yvonne is obsessed with any guys like Sissi is with Ulrich. So the characters are similar in some ways and different in others. No one characters is a carbon copy of another. However, writers and animators usually feed off of each other. Maybe CL's people got a few ideas on Sissi from Miss Yvonne. Who knows? But I do agree with you, these two females are similar. --Jeremie@theLab 01:05, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
But you gotta love Sissi for who she is, in S2 at least. Oh, and do you have an AOL screen name? Mine's BriteStarAngie. --[User:Angie Y.]]
- I'm actually on adelphia.net. (that's digital cable hi-speed internet). I was on AOL for a while, but my IP address there kept getting blocked indefinetly because of vandals. You can talk to me at kevin.s.lee@adelphia.net.
We are at war!
[edit]I hate to bring this up, but on a bad note, the AAH Vandal has shown his hand, destroying your talk and user pages in some vicious personal attacks. He has declared war on us all and set forward an agenda to take over Code: WIKI. I'm alerting Someguy0830 to this. We are in trouble. Sorry to have to bring this up. :( --Jeremie@theLab 02:11, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
- Oh no! --User:Angie Y.
- Yeah. This guy is BAD news. I just informed Someguy0830 and am waiting for a response. I'll get him and KFan as well. Don't worry. Team Lyoko beat XANA at the bleakest moments and we can do this too. Time to live up to our namesakes. As of this moment, we are at war. --Jeremie@theLab 02:23, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
- Semi-protect every article and you won't have any problems. It keeps new editors from altering pages or creating new ones. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 03:48, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
- Better yet, move off of edit_this and onto Wikia. It's free of charge and run by the same people running this place. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 04:10, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
- Ooh, that sounds good. I'll tell Angie about that. --Jeremie@theLab 14:20, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
I have been banned
[edit]I have been banned from Code: WIKI. KFan is such a bully. --User:Angie Y.
- YOU'RE KIDDING! That is so wrong. I feel for you. Is it a temporary ban or permanent? If it is permanent, then at least you can know that you won't have to deal with KFan and his autocratic, bi-polar tendancies anymore. If it's temporary, you might want to question just how much it is worth to remain in the lion's den that is Code: WIKI. Don't fret though. Wikipedia's CL community, The Realm of Lyoko, and the forum at Lyoko Freak are still wide open to you, and a lot less hostile. I'll help you in anyway I can, and you are always welcome on my talk page. We'll all get through this together. --Jeremie@theLab 18:06, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
It's a permanent ban. :'( And thanks. --User:Angie Y.
- No problem. Being friendly and helping people out is what I do. I am looking forward to more messages from you. --Jeremie@theLab 19:50, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
^_^ Hey, what kinds of Blast Into The Past art are you gonna be drawing? --User:Angie Y.
- Well, I was thinking about drawing the following:
- Odd's cell phone floating down the Seine River.
- Ulrich looking at Odd doing the deadman's float with the Factory in the background.
- Ulrich splotching pancake syrup in his face while Yumi and Natsumi guffaw.
- XANA's ghost coming to attack Natsumi.
- The whole gang reuniting at the Factory (that'll be fun. Everyone's grown up!)
- The XANA-possessed train barreling down the street at the group in the past.
- Odd taking care of Natsumi.
- Aelita doing the same.
That's what I'm thinking of right now. Some more inspiration might come later, but I'm going to start those drawings now. What do you think of my ideas? --Jeremie@theLab 20:07, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
They're excellent illustrations! I can't wait to see your style! --User:Angie Y.
- Thanks! I'll tell you when they are up on deviantART. That could be a while, since I have to get a new password and all, but I'll have them us as soon as possible. --Jeremie@theLab 20:24, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
I got an idea for a password. "Lyoko". --User:Angie Y.
- Simple, but easy to remember. That will work. By the way Angie, I have NO idea what Natsumi looks like since the image on TRoL was busted. If I don't know what she looks like, I'll end up wininging it off of her description and may end up with a charicature that may not entirely resemble what you and your friend originally envisioned. Do you have an image you could upload here? --Jeremie@theLab 20:56, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
Yes, I do have an image. --User:Angie Y.
- Okay then. You can put it here on my talk page. --Jeremie@theLab 21:02, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
[1]. Here ya go. --User:Angie Y.
- Oooh. That looks really good, and in living water color too! I can draw that with no problem. Thanks! --Jeremie@theLab 21:42, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
No problem. --User:Angie Y.
Can you show them to me when you're done? That is, can you put them into your gallery? --User:Angie Y.
No problem. Of course I can. --Jeremie@theLab 19:54, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
Do you have a scanner?
[edit]Do you have a scanner? --User:Angie Y.
- Yeah, it's out of ink though so my dad has to go to Staples to get some more. But it will work. I'll just scan the drawings on and post them, unless there's something special I have to do at deviantART. --Jeremie@theLab 14:16, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
Hmmm...
[edit]You haven't been sending me any messages lately. What's the matter? --User:Angie Y.
- Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't know you wanted regular correspondence. First problem would be that my internet is finnicky to heat and the cable/modem is on the fritz. Second would be that I didn't know you wanted to talk. Let me think of something random about Code Lyoko...This could take a minute. --Jeremie@theLab 10:44, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
11:30 AM, Saturday
[edit]Angie, you do know that Code Lyoko airs once weekly, on Saturday mornings at 11:30? I've already seen two episodes I hadn't seen before (Cruel Dilemma and Image Problem). Judging by the way Cartoon Network is running it, End of Take should be next. Do you watch it at this time? --Jeremie@theLab 10:44, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
Japanese dub of Code Lyoko
[edit]Should there be a Japanese version of Code Lyoko like how Invader Zim has a Japanese version now? --User:Angie Y.
- Well, considering that Yumi is a Japanese national and the show derives a lot of elements from Japanese poetry and aesthtic, you'd think it would only come as natural for Japan to have its own dub. Unfortunately, I don't think our Far East friends have been introduced to the joys of Code Lyoko (although I think China has a version, though I'm not 100% positive on that). I definitely agree with you, Code Lyoko should have a Japanese dub. --Jeremie@theLab 04:19, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
I know of a few seiyuu who would love the parts already! =D
Megumi Ogata - Jeremie, Aelita
Keiko Han - Mrs. Suzanne Hertz
- Judjdging by the biographies, your two suggested seiyuu would work very well for those parts. The humorous part about watching a Japanese dub would not be so much of the fact that to English speakers, it sounds like funky gibberish, but female Japanese voice actors tend to have very high voices (take Ami and Yumi from Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi for example). The part of Aelita requires quite a bit of screaming and freaked-out voice (this is especially prevalent in "Unchartered Territory"). Ogata would practically be giving squeaks. Are there any other seiyuu or Japanese people you think would work for any other parts (I'd be interested in who you choose for Jim)?--Jeremie@theLab 14:52, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
I'm actually not quite sure who'd be the perfect voice for Jim in the Japanese version. David also voices William, Herb, and XANA. --User:Angie Y.
- David Gasman voices XANA???? Wow, I wasn't expecting that. XANA's voice is so unreal, cold and technological I thought it was computer-made. He must have had a voice modulator on or something. That is strange, however, since Code Lyoko at TV.com said that "Virtual Jimmy" played XANA's voice. --Jeremie@theLab 15:43, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
That's a fake credit. David really did do the voice of XANA. --User:Angie Y.
- Wow. He's FLIPPING AWESOME at that!!!!! XANA's voice is so freak-me-out evil. Next time you talk to him on LyokoFreak tell him he's doing a completely AWESOME job at XANA's voice. --Jeremie@theLab 18:58, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
I'll be sure to tell him. He's very nice to me. Plus, I wanna ask him if Jimbo will make any more reappearances. --User:Angie Y.
- You mean as a member of Team Lyoko? I wouldn't be opposed to that, but Matt Géczy said on his thread that neither he nor the other voice actors can reveal any details concerning the upcoming seasons, or else they will be fired. I'm sure none of us would ever forgive ourselves if we goaded one of the VAs into dropping some details and then getting canned for it. However, judging by the way the series is going, with Sissi and Hiroki and Jim making appearances, there just might be something to new membership in the team. If Jim doesn't appear as a warrior, he will at least remain a grumpy, crusty old campus supervisor (don't tell David I said that!) and a background character. --Jeremie@theLab 20:42, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
Promise, Kevin. ;) He isn't that crusty. Remember "Cold War" and Deja Vu"? --User:Angie Y.
- Oh yeah...I actually prefer to think of Code: Earth. The minute Jeremie broke his ankle there was such a change in Jim's attitude throughout that episode and "False Start" that I was thoroughly amazed. I actually hoped it would stay that way, but at the end of False Start I saw Jim revert and wasn't too pleased. But in those other two episodes Jim defintely shows a marshmellow side. I was particularly touched by his attitude in "Cold War." --Jeremie@theLab 01:48, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
Myself as well. He was kind enough to do many things in this particulat episode, like get the fire going in the furnace and giving everyone winter clothes. He even spoke gently to some kids before taking them inside the school. =D How sweet is that? =DDDD --User:Angie Y.
- Apparently sweet enough to drive you into the happiest state I've seen anyone on Wikipedia (including myself) get into. Four super smiles. That's quite impressive! =D --Jeremie@theLab 02:55, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
Yeah! --User:Angie Y.
LOOK WHAT I FOUND!
[edit]The Complete First Season box set cover! =D --User: Angie y.
- YESSSSSSSSS!!! IT'S HERE! IT'S FINALLY HERE! No more waiting until 11:30 AM every Saturday! I'm getting these DVDs and watching them to my heart's content. THANK YOU!!! =DDDD --Jeremie@theLab 03:03, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
No problem. I'm just as happy as you are! --User:Angie Y.
- Who wouldn't be? --Jeremie@theLab 15:12, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
I also have another fanfic to show you. --User:Angie Y.
- Oooh. Could you send me the link? --Jeremie@theLab 18:12, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
Sure! =D
New and Improved. --User:Angie Y.
- Simply superb. We've got an antagonist in William and I loved the twist ending with the return of Sam! I'll bet she'll have some role to play as the story evolves. --Jeremie@theLab 19:04, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
You'll also love that Jim and Sissi are now the group's allies and friends. --User:Angie Y.
- Well of course I love that. Sissi's powers in Lyoko are excellent. I'll bet Jim basically looks like he does in that drawing you sent me (with his armor and pulse staff, etc,)? --Jeremie@theLab 19:38, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
Yeah. Exactly! And what did they call Jim once they became friends in False Start? ;) --User:Angie Y.
- Oh that's a hard one. Yeah I'm gonna have to take a random guess at this one. I can't possibly figure it out! Um...Jimbo? ;) --Jeremie@theLab 20:35, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
Yup! But it actually doesn't matter. They call him Jim and he's still their friend. --User:Angie Y.
- Well that's great. I wonder if the writers will actaully evolve that idea some in Season 3. --Jeremie@theLab 20:39, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
Odd and Sissi, up in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!
[edit]Odd and Sissi will kiss in the third season! =DDDDDDDDDDDDDD --User:Angie Y.
- YOU'RE KIDDING! Where did you come by this information? Did you pull it out of David Gasman or did you get from a rumor? Well, one thing is for sure. You are now the happiest Wikipedian I've ever seen! I'm pleased as well. If this is true, that seals the OddxSissi relationship as canonical, and might lead to new team members. =D --Jeremie@theLab 14:37, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
I actually found it from another reliable source, Codelyoko.net. --User:Angie Y.
- spaceballsno.ytmnd.com NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
- And it's sitting in a tree. ~iNVERTED | Rob (Talk) 17:01, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
Episode recap help
[edit]I need help writing the episode recap for Deja Vu. --User:Angie Y.
- All right. I'm going to see what you've done so far. --Jeremie@theLab 17:10, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
- The intro and summary are perfect :) --Jeremie@theLab 17:15, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
I'm worrying...
[edit]I'm beginning to worry about you. --User:Angie Y.
Welcome Back!
[edit]Hey Jeremie, back at the lab yet? I'm very new here. I checked out your page and that "large nutshell" on it, and I couldn't believe how many things we have in common interestwise! Are you and Angie Y going to make a shiny new TV show based on CL? If so, count me in! -- Aelita@Lyoko
PS: Don't answer on this page; come on over and chat on mine!
