User talk:Jenreflect/sandbox
Hello I have created a page in the sandbox to explore what it feels like to create a wikipedia entry. There are a couple of references used here that have come from the SWLSC that would need to be approved if this was used publicly. The use of the Horton map and older texts to describe language groups could also be changed to make use of elders and Noongar explanations of country and family. ( I was just making use of material available on the day:) ) The main content is also up for further translations and in the creation of this kind of page, it was reinforced to me- how simple it may be to create "authoritative ' looking wiki pages about Noongar greetings and language- but - what will be the important principles to produce a page that is in the spirit of a collaborative knowledge network……by having a go at creating a page I was able to explore some of the questions that arise when we 'author', how we are open to editing and the importance of this…..lots to think about.
I also explored how to use and make links with audio and video materials - Noongar is an oral and physical language so it is exciting to think about developing structures that allow for this in a wikipedia framework. ( Using this User talk is also an experiment).Jenreflect (talk) 07:02, 9 April 2014 (UTC)
