Your changes to Allies of WWII
[edit]Hello there,
The stable version of the info box has "The Big Three" and other principal allies. This was decided after extensive discussion and a consensus was reached. The matter has also been raised in the current RfC discussion. I agree with you that the whole structure of the info box needs to be rediscussed but the place to do it in in the Talk page. The current verion is a pig's breakfast and needs to be rationalised. Happy to discuss in Talk. Aemilius Adolphin (talk) 23:16, 15 May 2023 (UTC)
- My apologies. I was unaware of the previous discussion over the info box, so I will put it up in Talk again. Best regards. JellyGamery (talk) 23:32, 15 May 2023 (UTC)
- No problem. For the record, I would support a proposal to add France and China to Principal Allies. I tried to add France to the Principal Allies in the WWII article but ran up against stiff opposition and it was reverted. Aemilius Adolphin (talk) 23:48, 15 May 2023 (UTC)
This is...interesting.
[edit]Hi JellyGamery,
I support your viewpoint that China was important in WW2. Which these Euro-centric professors don't. It's very interesting debating 81-year-old history professors, considering that I am a high schooler. Alexysun (talk) 05:39, 17 May 2023 (UTC)
- I can easily relate to that. It seems that when it comes to warfare, everyone has a different method in measuring strength. They argue that the Republic of China should not be considered a Principal power due to its army's ability to fight, but in reality it should be considered that there was no way Japan could have conquered all of China if it wanted to. There's just too big of a population. JellyGamery (talk) 21:27, 17 May 2023 (UTC)
