Bad refs

[edit]

Wikia does not qualify as a WP:RS. And putting a bare URL between ref tags is a very poor way to make a ref. Dicklyon (talk) 03:10, 4 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Block message:

Autoblocked because your IP address was recently used by "Cacamonster1234". The reason given for Cacamonster1234's block is: " Your account has been blocked indefinitely because the chosen username is a clear violation of our username policy – it is obviously profane, threatens, attacks or impersonates another person, or suggests that you do not intend to contribute positively to the encyclopedia (see our blocking and username policies for more information). We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia, but users are not allowed to edit with inappropriate usernames and we do not tolerate 'bad faith' editing such as trolling or other disruptive behavior. If you think there are good reasons why these don't describe your account, or why you should be unblocked, you are welcome to appeal this block – read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the end of your user talk page. ".

Accept reason: No reason to believe you are related. Autoblock lifted. Yamla (talk) 20:23, 5 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Pirates of the Caribbean (attraction), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Variety (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:31, 20 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

References

[edit]

Why did you remove the names of the references that were added over time from the Sony Pictures article? King Shadeed May 16, 2018 21:10 EDT

This is referring to something I actually made better than it originally was. Thanks for noticing previously but it is better now. JeffreyLoeber (talk) 02:12, 17 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You didn't make it better. How is that making it better? King Shadeed May 17, 2018 01:50 EDT
Did you even bother looking at the article? Please do before you judge me. JeffreyLoeber (talk) 17:40, 17 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yes I did but you didn't answer my question. King Shadeed May 18, 2018 00:40 EDT

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Olive Garden does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! SummerPhDv2.0 12:14, 9 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Minor edits

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. DrKay (talk) 08:01, 15 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Minor edits, Part 2

[edit]

Hello. Again, please do not mark major edits as minor. You keep marking all of your edits as minor, but many of them are major. Please stop doing it. Whenever you add something to an article—a sentence, an external link, citation etc., it is a major edit. Thanks.—J. M. (talk) 00:36, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Minor edits, Part 3

[edit]

Please stop marking major edits as minor. External links, such as the one you added to Volkswagen advertising, are not minor edits. When you add an external link, especially to a dubious source such as a blog, it is not a minor edit and cannot be marked as minor. Marking major edits as minor is a breach of etiquette, and can be considered disruptive editing. Persistent disruptive editing can lead to a block. Please stop ignoring the warnings. Thanks.—J. M. (talk) 17:34, 23 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
