The article Brainbow (poem) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Non-notable
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. - Julie Ekblad's endeavours seem to have nothing to do with fluorescent neurons (which is the subject of the article). If she or Brainbow Learning Center are to be mentioned, it must be as subordinate paragraphs. Feel free to attempt to add something back to the article, but keep a few things in mind.
- The article is about neuron pigmentation, and any edit must respect that. Do not try to insert a new leading paragraph about something else.
- Make sure that any addition is noteworthy and relevant for an article on neuron mapping. For instance, acquaintances of the researcers probably lacks noteworthyness unless those people are famous in their own right.
- The trademark on Brainbow owned by Brainbow Learning Center only covers “IC 041. US 100 101 107. G & S: Educational services, namely, providing classes in the field of the human brain and brain function.” (S/N 77659585, Reg. no 3691743) – any other use is NOT protected. There is nothing at the moment to prevent me from opening a restaurant chain called Brainbow, for instance, so do not try to imply that Lichtman & Sanes needed Julie Ekblad's permission to use the name for a neuron-mapping technique (even if they asked for it).
- Document any connection. Find newspaper articles, magazines, university publications or similar to document Julie Ekblad's involvement in the science in question. At the moment none of the references even mention her.
- Have fun contributing! Wikipedia needs help from people like you, the article on Brainbow is a bit short for something that's been mentioned in National Geographic. If you can avoid the pitfalls made in your first edit, your contributions are much more likely to be accepted. --Vilding1 (talk) 21:41, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
