This non policy in a nutshell This non policy in a nutshell:
Repeated goodbye messages is not productive. Drama queens who post messages three times, saying they'll never return, are likely to be blocked from editing.

The Three-byes block (or 3BB) is not an official policy which applies to all Wikipedians. 3BB violations are not reported.

An editor must not make more than two goodbye messages, in whole or in part, on Wikipedia. This does not imply that noting a wikibreak is unacceptable.

Users may be blocked for using goodbye messages to disrupt the project.

Using sock puppets (multiple accounts owned by a single user) to avoid this limit is a violation of WP:SOCK. Any goodbye messages beyond this limit should be performed by other users. This collaboration between agreeing users is intended to demonstrate that the community at large is in agreement.
