Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Jdallman. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article Draft:Mary Fenner Dallman, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. Editing for the purpose of advertising or promotion is not permitted. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted.
Thanks so much for your submission; Mary Fenner Dallman almost certainly meets Wikipedia's guidelines for inclusion in the encyclopedia. At the moment the draft just needs more reliable sources to verify the information given--but at the same time, as you can see, Wikipedia has rather stringent policies about editorial conflicts of interest. If in fact you do have a relationship to the subject here, the best way you could assist would be to post any links or other citations you may have to the draft's talk page. I will be happy to keep my eye on it and incorporate any references you can add. The other option would be to delete all unsourced info and simply post a very shortened version, but I'm hoping you may be able to help me find sources to verify more of what's there (I've added a few but still most of the entry is unsourced). Thanks again! Innisfree987 (talk) 19:59, 14 January 2018 (UTC) Innisfree987 (talk) 19:59, 14 January 2018 (UTC)
