Discussion of non-COI.

[edit]

I declare that I do not have a conflict of interest in any meaningful sense with this article's subject. I am a member of this professional organization, but that means they take money from me, not the other way around. My relationship to AAPA is a lot like my relationship to Wikipedia: I've hung around a bunch of years, held different volunteer positions, made some friends, and annoyed some people. Editing Wikipedia on behalf of the AAPA will net me nothing of value more than the passing and trivial gratitude of other members of the organization. I am not doing anything at anyone's secret behest, I'm just noticing that a major professional organization who sent a woman into space (not really), to which I happen to belong, got their article so deleted they're redlinked on the disambiguation page. In the process of this, I expect to be communicating with paid staff, who are per the COI rules welcome to propose suggestions on the talk page, but I may just have them email me stuff, and anything I get, I will responsibly use to write an NPOV article.
