I notice that one of the first articles you edited was Program for Appropriate Technology in Health, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. One firm rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

Thanks for the readd! I'm relatively new to Wikipedia edits (taking over for Emily Inlow-Hood) and was actually trying to "move" the page from "Program for Appropriate Technology in Health" to "PATH", as we are retiring the longer version of our name for all intents and purposes.

I inadvertently removed the info box as I was trying to determine how to move the page, then discovered the technical move request option, which I just submitted on PATH's "Talk" page.

Let me know if you have any other tips, as I occasionally get requests from our programs to update their pages, as well.

Wikipedia operates on a verification model so to do the move, it would be appropriate to ask you to provide a publicly published statement confirming the name change. Can you share one?

The biggest tip I have is to share a few images relating to PATH's work. I had a standing request to Emily to share a single image each of the Uniject, the SILCS diaphragm, and Ultra Rice so that the articles could be illustrated and public discussion could be better encouraged. Wikipedia is a place for transparency and I still would like to see images in those articles, as well as for more public discussion of PATH projects to be supported. I would also love to have any promotional images of PATH staff working in the field anywhere in the world. Wikipedia is the world's most consulted source of health information and if PATH ever wants to join with multilingual online health education then the offer remains to come say hello anytime. Blue, I'm looking into the name change doc now. I assume a DBA would suffice? I hear you about the pictures. Can I just add those myself and point back to the PATH page where they were sourced from? Jbwilke (talk) 21:13, 30 August 2013 (UTC)

A DBA would probably be good. 1-2 links to key documents, like an annual report, which do not use the old name but only use the new name might also work. Do whatever is clever, but there has to be some evidence because everything on Wikipedia has to have some supporting evidence. This should not be a big deal.

You could add pictures yourself. The link is at Commons:Special:UploadWizard. Here is an example of what a media file from PATH could look like after shared - commons:File:The_Childrens_Museum_of_Indianapolis_-_Nayarit_tomb_figure.jpg. Note the attribution requirements in the box which describes how this image can be reused. Because all content on Wikipedia can be reused in other media, sharing pictures needs clearance from communications and legal and this was something that Emily was unwilling to pursue. If media was shared then it would be required that anyone reusing it would have to name and if online, link back to the content provider (PATH, in this case). You could have the images point back to wherever you like, but typically people just point back to their homepage so that if the images are reused it links back to the homepage. If you had a picture of something like the Uniject, though, perhaps you would like it to go to a permanent link which describes that device so that if any journalist ever wanted to write about the device they would already have an image without further legal clearance plus they would already know how to attribute you and the site to which they must link to be in compliance with requirements of reuse of the image. I could talk to you about this more if at least a few (5?) images are a possibility. Thanks for considering the option. Blue Rasberry (talk) 13:07, 5 September 2013 (UTC)
