What's the name of the page? The page may be locked from new users due to vandalism. However, I can make the contribution for you if you're willing.

Greetings. I know it's exciting to be able to edit pages and to think about how you can exploit that to drive traffic to your business, but external links in Wikipedia are not for promotion and must be directly related to the topic at hand, as per the External Links policy—which is not a very entertaining read, but we all should be familiar with it. Also, external links on Wikipedia are automatically formatted in a way that prevents them from affecting search engine rankings, in case that's what you were trying to achieve.

It's also inappropriate, and is considered vandalism, to edit a template, such as when you edited Template:Pervasive developmental disorders in order to add something to the external links section of multiple pages. Aside from being abuse of a template that exists for another purpose, the edit resulted in the link appearing in articles which aren't directly related to the topic of the site you were linking to.

Don't be discouraged from editing; just don't engage in "linkspam". :) —mjb (talk) 21:09, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
