I have read through the Lunar GW article, I like it. Excellent technical content. But, as you can see, Wikipedia has certain strict style guidelines. What you wrote would be ideal for a magazine like Physics Today or similar; but for WP, the style is wrong. I like the article, you really should fix it up and get it out of the draft stage. The links above will explain how to get help with the needed changes. Anyway, I also left a few questions on the article talk page. 67.198.37.16 (talk) 05:30, 25 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Naked singularity

[edit]

Hi!

Thank you for your edits to naked singularity! They are fine, with some minor quibbles, which I'd like to explain. Before I start, I'd like to mention that I'm the person who made a complete hash of things, and then, realizing my mistake, tried to restore things back into what I thought was a workable order. My apologies for that, it was a late-night whoopsie. I was tired, and I erred.

Here's the problem: Wikipedia articles are meant to have a lede written in a certain, particular style. See Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Lead section for the gory details. While reading this article (late at night) I noticed that the lede was not in the conventional format. Further down, I read something else that did not seem quite right (it was late at night) and I got suspicious: this had all the hallmarks of a crank editor inserting what is widely feared: "original research". Looking at the edit history, I saw your changes, and decided to revert all of them, fearing that they were all cranky.

Minutes later, I realized I'd made a mistake. I re-read what you'd written, and it all seemed to be just fine, so I undid all of my deletions. There remained the problem of the lede, which did not follow the manual of style. So I resurrected the old lede, and merged your alterations so that they'd still follow the formal style. I believe that what I left behind was the best of both worlds: technically correct, and in the proper style.

Today, I notice that you've undone this, breaking the style once again. I'll revert. Please read and double-check, but stick to the proper style. I think that the result is technically correct, but its possible I'd made a mistake (why, it's late at night, even right now!). Again sorry for the inconvenience, thank you for the contributions, and ummm, welcome to Wikipedia, even if it feels like a rough start. 67.198.37.16 (talk) 05:03, 25 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
