Speedy deletion nomination of User:Jaympatel481/sandbox
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on User:Jaympatel481/sandbox, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement of https://www.ishaoutreach.org/en/project-greenhands/partners. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
- It appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free Web hosting service. (See section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion.)
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. creffett (talk) 01:37, 30 August 2019 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on User:Jaympatel481/sandbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Project GreenHands
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Project GreenHands, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. GPL93 (talk) 21:30, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
COI
[edit]You have an obvious conflict of interest and you must declare it. If you work directly or indirectly for an organisation, or otherwise are acting on its behalf, you are very strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. If you are paid directly or indirectly by the organisation you are writing about, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Jaympatel481. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Jaympatel481|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If you are being compensated, please provide the required disclosure. Note that editing with a COI is discouraged, but permitted as long as it is declared. Concealing a COI can lead to a block. Please do not edit further until you respond to this message. Also read the following regarding writing an article
- you must provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the organisation, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the organisation claims or interviewing its management. Note that references should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting, and should not be bare urls
- The notability guidelines for organisations and companies have been updated. The primary criteria has five components that must be evaluated separately and independently to determine if it is met:
- significant coverage in
- independent,
- multiple,
- reliable,
- secondary sources.
- Note that an individual source must meet all four criteria to be counted towards notability.
- you must write in a non-promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic, with verifiable facts, not opinions or reviews.
- there shouldn't be any url links in the article, only in the "References" or "External links" sections.
- you must not copy text from elsewhere. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. We require that text posted here can be used, modified and distributed for any purpose, including commercial; text is considered to be copyright unless explicitly stated otherwise. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.
Before attempting to write an article again, please make sure that the topic meets the notability criteria linked above, and check that you can find independent third party sources. Also read Your first article. You must also reply to the COI request above Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:28, 5 September 2019 (UTC)

Request reason:
I wish to rewrite my article on Project GreenHands. I have made all the corrections as suggested by the editor. I have included outside, credible news and media sources in my article, other than the ones owned by the organisation I am writing about. I nhave also eliminated the promoting language used in my article earlier and have tried to establish a neutral tone. I was going to continue with my incomplete article today with these corrections but then it was again deleted and I was blocked from editing. Also, as I received a notice of COI but did not know how to answer or go about it as I have just begun creating Wikipedia articles with this being the first one. For that, I would like to declare that I am not, by any means, related to this organisation and not working, directly or indirectly, for it nor on its behalf. I am not getting paid, directly or indirectly, by this organisation to write about it. Thus, I humbly request the editor to unblock me from editing and publishing Wikipedia articles and consider one more attempt of mine with a corrected version of the article. Jaympatel481 (talk) 11:46, 13 September 2019 (UTC)
Accept reason:
Okay, thanks for your answers. I'm going to remove the block as your answers make sense to me and I am assuming good faith. 331dot (talk) 18:14, 13 September 2019 (UTC)
- 331dot, I blocked this user because they continued editing after a COI request, which elicited no response. All this editor's contributions have related to this organisation, so you have to wonder why someone with no COI is so intent on writing about it. However, for now at least we have to AFG, so I'm happy for you to make any decision as you see fit Jimfbleak - talk to me? 15:02, 13 September 2019 (UTC)
- Jaympatel481, how did you come to write about this organization? I would also note that the drafts were deleted in part because they were copyright violations, taken right from their website. You will need to indicate that you have read some of the information and policies above, by briefly explaining what exactly the issue was and why the drafts needed to be deleted. 331dot (talk) 15:17, 13 September 2019 (UTC)
Reasonings
[edit]331dot, I was required to do a Wikipedia article as part of my college assignment. So while researching about a topic, I came across this project which did not and still does not have a Wikipedia article. This project possesses numerous achievements, for which I thought of writing about it and to make an informative source related to it. Earlier drafts of mine were deleted because of copyright infringement because I included quite a few statements, which then i felt necessary to describe about the project, directly from the project website into my article. But I did not know that citing the sources of the information is not enough to avoid this issue. I also did not have any outside sources other than the ones of this organisation which could fall into Wikipedia notability. So when I failed to publish my article, I corrected my article to a large extent and also removed statements which were, by any means, promoting the organisation. I have drafted the final version of my article in my own words and have also included news sites and governmental sources in it so that they could be considered credible by Wikipedia. Thus, I make a humble request to you to consider it and unblock me and allow me to create this page one more time. Jaympatel481 (talk) 18:06, 13 September 2019 (UTC)
