Articles for deletion and redirects
[edit]Hello, Jayeshjain88. I see that you have nominated Robocon at Articles for deletion (commonly abbreviated to AfD), giving the reason as "Duplicate content". The page you have nominated is a redirect, which means that it is not an article itself, but just a means of linking to an article under a different title. The idea is that someone may come to Wikipedia looking for "Robocon", not guessing that the article's title is "ABU Robocon". If there were no redirect at Robocon they might never find the article, but if there is one they will be redirected to ABU Robocon, and find what they want. I am guessing that you didn't realise that was what a Wikipedia redirect did, and that there is no really good reason for wanting it deleted. If I am wrong, and you really do want it deleted, then you should go to Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion (RfD) and follow the instructions there, as AfD is only for articles, not redirects. (Unfortunately Wikipedia's deletion processes can be confusing if you are not used to them.) I will delete the AfD page, since it is in the wrong place for a redirect. - hello JamesBWatson, what really happening is, i edited ABU Robocon. But same old content was visible on Robocon page. then i realized this shouldn't be the case as Robocon is redirected ABU Robocon. then i checked a little more but couldn't find a reason. I guess it was because of double redirection or something. after spending lot of hours i decided to delete it then create a new redirect. Kindly look into the matter and explain me what really is happening. Jayeshjain88 (talk) 21:03, 7 January 2012 (UTC)
- That is almost certainly because you were seeing a cached copy of the page. In some circumstances Wikipedia's software shows a cached copy of a page, but in this case I think much more likely is that your browser kept a cached copy, and kept showing you that instead of reloading the page from Wikipedia. How to stop that from happening depends on what browser you are using, but Wikipedia:Bypass your cache has instructions for various browsers. No doubt your browser's help will give some information on this, but in the case of the browser I am using (Firefox) I actually find the Wikipedia page more helpful than the "official" help. I hope this helps you. JamesBWatson (talk) 21:22, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of MAE Alandi
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on MAE Alandi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. GILO A&E⇑ 23:49, 12 February 2012 (UTC)
College of Engineering, Pune
[edit]Hey, I see that you just changed the year in which College of Engineering, Pune finished runners-up from 2010 to 2011. Are you aware of any references to the same? If yes, kindly cite it, else it may be reverted to the previous version or may be it would be deleted. Thanks and happy editing!Jobin (talk) 13:25, 14 February 2012 (UTC)

Robocon India page - wrong Grand Prix team names
[edit]Check the grand prix team names on Robocon India- they are international robocon teams which are appearing wrong in Robocon India section. The edits were made in separate sessions, and this edit was correctly done. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.195.36.124 (talk) 14:15, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
- Grand Pix is who won international robocon in that year. It is not wrongly placed... And Vandalism is not only about your last edit but your other edits you made... Jayesh 15:08, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
Hello Jayeshjain88,
It seems to me that an article you worked on, Dumru (THE DRUM FESTIVAL OF INDIA), may be copied from http://dumruthefest.com/about-us/. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.
It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.

Disambiguation link notification for March 12
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited MIT Robocon Tech Team, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Holonomic (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 12:56, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
