User talk:Jasserauda
Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Jasserauda, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Jasser Auda, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.
To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)
In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

before the question. Again, welcome! :Jay8g [V•T•E] 04:21, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
- Hi JayBg. Not sure if you are a robot or a human! If you are a robot, please refer this discussion to a human! If you are a human, then I am sure that you will agree that if the subject of the page is myself (and you can verify my identity if you wish), then I have a RIGHT to correct details such as my own nationality, my own education, and my own places of work! There is no "conflict of interest" here. I agree with you that I am not supposed to write "subjective" statements such as "he is the greatest author in the western hemisphere" or something of that sort. Otherwise, I am simply the best person qualified to correct my own nationality and my own place of academic affiliation, instead of those paid government-agents who spread mis-information on people they don't like. Thanks JayBg (or the human who is reading anyway). --- Jasser Auda Jasserauda (talk) 00:48, 13 November 2024 (UTC)
- Hi. We're all people here, and no, you do not have any "right" to edit the article about you -- in fact, that's strongly discouraged. Please read the links in the template message I sent you above, and discuss on the article's talk page or the WP:Teahouse. It looks like you already got the same advice on your post at WP:BLPN.
- The biggest issue is that you actually need references for anything you add, and they need to be reliable, independent sources. Wikipedia doesn't go by "just trust me".
- And definitely don't cast aspersions about other editors being "paid government-agents". That's a fast-track way to get blocked. :Jay8g [V•T•E] 03:12, 13 November 2024 (UTC)
- Sure. Thanks for the information. Will try sincerely to understand the system and act accordingly. 2401:3C00:204:6170:7947:4DB3:3A43:AE44 (talk) 04:56, 13 November 2024 (UTC)
