Uploading Detroit Lions logos on the Wikimedia Commons
[edit]Again, fair use images are not permitted on the Wikimedia Commons. If you would like to use them here on Wikipedia, upload them directly here on Wikipedia, not there. Thanks. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 05:35, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the James David article, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
Feel free to re-submit a new version of the article. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later."
You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. You can also leave a message on my talk page. -- Whpq 22:25, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:SLP logo wiki.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:SLP logo wiki.gif. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --FairuseBot (talk) 01:50, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Jasondgray! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 352 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:
- Dexter Bussey - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Harley Sewell - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 22:00, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
The article Dexter Bussey has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Unsourced BLP.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Unitasock (talk) 01:56, 23 January 2010 (UTC)
