Actually there's this 1844 book online and the wikisource page that you (partially) list seems to be a transcription from the Dictionary of National Biography, 1885-1900. If you list your sources properly, so others know what they are, maybe it will persuade someone to accept your article. Maybe McRay is an important figure in Irish history.
