Draftification of Priti Paul (architect)
Priti Paul (architect): "Reason/s: more sources needed". Seriously? Fram (talk) 09:11, 6 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Fram this actually reads like something meant to promote the subject. The subject maybe notable but the article is certainly not mainspace-ready. Jamiebuba (talk) 09:15, 6 December 2023 (UTC)
- The Rachel Grae article which you had moved to mainspace had a bunch of SEO/PR pieces at its initial state, before it was cleaned up by Kuru. Jamiebuba (talk) 09:18, 6 December 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, and it also had sources like Rolling Stone, Asbury Park Press, and so on. Fram (talk) 09:24, 6 December 2023 (UTC)
- Not a reason to give the editor incorrect advice in your edit summary (I undraftified Rachel Grae) because there as well, you claimed "more sources needed" which was not true) Fram (talk)=

- Draft:Ruhee Maknojia: "more sources needed"???
- Draft:Etta Marcus: "more sources needed"? No, some sources aren't the best, and page needs further wikifying and so on, but this doesn't need more sources and has two very good sources (NME and Independent).
Please remember WP:BITE and don't draftify too easily, and if you do, at least don't give incorrect information to the editors involved. Fram (talk) 09:37, 6 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Fram Understood, but you would agree with me that draftification was not infact a bad call? Jamiebuba (talk) 09:45, 6 December 2023 (UTC)
- On the Priti Paul article? I don't see a reason to draftify it, just tagging it (or improving it) would have been better. Draftification isn't for imperfect articles, but for ones really below the minimum standards (but salvageable). Fram (talk) 10:24, 6 December 2023 (UTC)
- Alright thanks for the advise, I appreciate. How do you handle articles that may have a COI or UPE issues? Jamiebuba (talk) 10:26, 6 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Fram Pinging. Jamiebuba (talk) 10:27, 6 December 2023 (UTC)
- Tag if it needs cleaning, no tag but inform the editor if the article is OK but you still think there is a COI, nominate for speedy if it is really problematic. I very rarely draftify just for COI/UPE. Fram (talk) 10:49, 6 December 2023 (UTC)

- It sounds like some of the problems are the choice of articles to draftify but also relying on the default edit summary which might not always be an appropriate explanation for each instance. Many editors do this as well, something I'll keep at eye out for as well. Liz Read! Talk! 01:39, 7 December 2023 (UTC)
Request on 12:23:26, 6 December 2023 for assistance on AfC submission by North-Imperium
I am requesting assistance because it would help the reader to understand the content. And if I get assistance it would also make the content better.

Hello, Jamiebuba!
I already published on Romanian Wikipedia an article for Christos Metskas in the Romanian language, which was approved and is no longer a draft - https://ro.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christos_Metskas
Now, should I mark for deletion or ask for the deletion of the draft which I previously submitted to English Wiki in Romanian language and the submission was justly declined by you for that reason, and, afterwards, to create a translation from Romanian into English of the Romanian article and use the same title for it for the English Wiki, or should I resubmit the draft you rejected but in English language with that translation in order to be accepted/approved?
I'm asking this because I wouldn't wish to ask for the deletion of the draft you rejected and, after its deletion, to be unable to publish a translation into English of the Romanian article under the same title. Or, can I be sure that if I resubmit the draft you rejected but in English, after it will be approved, it will be added to the languages list next to the Romanian "original", considering that it will have the same title?
Thank you! CristianMetcas (talk) 21:51, 6 December 2023 (UTC)
