Disclaimer: It's very rare for me to send messages like this; it might seem frivolous or hypocritical, as I often complain about myspacing of the project. However, as a pastafarian, this is my equivalent of a Christmas greeting. I seriously believe we need to have fun sometimes. If you object, I apologize; let me know, and I won't bother you again. |

Deletion of an article
Hello, I want to know more about deletion of Social Engine Forum article. It was being keep editing and blanking by some unregistered users. I think that vandalism happening because of no detailed informations about illegal part of that site and I added more information to that article. Seems, it was deleted because of some problems. Can you rollback/undo that article to previous edit by me and restore it if there is such problem? Thank You
Sandakelum2009 (talk) 14:30, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
- Hi there, the article was not deleted because of vandalism or anything like that. It was deleted because it did not assert notability, meaning that the article did not say why the website was important enough to have its own article. I've also noticed that you claim that the website in question is your website. If that is the case, you'll want to read this. If you have any questions, feel free to message me on my talk page. Dreamhost LLC asked for a rangeblock?
Hello James. You placed a rangeblock per an OTRS request on May 30. From the wording of your block notice I assume that Dreamhost LLC must have requested this. Now one IP from the range, 173.236.168.211 (talk · contribs), is requesting unblock. Can you offer an opinion at the Open Proxy noticeboard? I assume that if the ISP requested it, the block should not be undone unless they change their mind. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 15:18, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

Wikipedia NYC Meetup Sat Oct 16
New York City Meetup
|
In the afternoon, we will hold a session dedicated to meta:Wikimedia New York City activities, review the recent Wiki-Conference NYC 2010, plan for the next stages of projects like Wikipedia Ambassador Program and Wikipedia Academy, and hold salon-style group discussions on Wikipedia and the other Wikimedia projects (see the May meeting's minutes).
In the evening, we'll share dinner and chat at a local restaurant, and generally enjoy ourselves and kick back.
You can add or remove your name from the New York City Meetups invite list at Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/Invite list.
To keep up-to-date on local events, you can also join our mailing list.

Happy 10/10/10
I suppose I should've timed this message at 10:10:10 too, but frankly, I can't be arsed. You know how it is.
Did you know... that tenten in Japaense writing are a little wiggly thing, a bit like a quotation-mark, which makes e.g. "ka" (か) into "ga" (が) or "fu" (ふ) into "bu" (ぶ) ?
So, take time out to have a bit of a giggle.
All the best, and 10-10 'till we do it again. Chzz ► 08:49, 10 October 2010 (UTC)
