Are you shore?

Re: List of famous Shore old boys:

  • If you must have a separate article then at least link back to the school article!
  • It is a discourtesy to remove any tag such as {{mergeto}} without some sort of discussion - even a few words in the edit summary might have sufficed
  • The beauty of Wikipedia is that although "old boy" is a term unfamiliar to our American cousins, we don't need to explain it every time we use it - we just make a link!
  • If we create an article on a wrong title, we do not leave it and create another on the proper title - we use a move to correct the error. (You created List of famous Old Shore Boys and List of famous Shore Old Boys.)

Now you can go to the articles about each old boy and make shore that they link back to the school article (I've done Errol Flynn for you). -- RHaworth 08:43, 31 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Silence is also a form of incivility. You saw my message above and still removed the {{mergeto}} without comment. The precedent among GPS Schools articles is that the list should be in the school article.

Could you add to the school article a note about why it is called shore? -- RHaworth 17:26, 1 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
