Notability required
[edit]Wikipedia has articles, not pages (it is not social media, with profiles). Nothing you mentioned so far (college football player, held burglar at gunpoint) suggests that your father would meet Wikipedia's concept of notability. As for news items - do not submit images - because that violates copyright. All that would be needed is title of the news item, name of publication it was in, page number, and date. There does not have to be on-line access to confirm it is real. Wikipedia trusts editors. If you intend to persist, see WP:YFA. But again, nothing you provided sounds like enough.
