License tagging for Image:Howden Minster.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Howden Minster.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 19:07, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

Hi James, Nice image you've uploaded to the Heacham article. I left the village (but my parents still live there) many years ago, but I've done most of the major edits on this article. You seem to have a good eye, with the photos. If you live in or around Heacham would you mind taking a picture of the village sign with Pocahontas on it and uploading it? Welsh Highland Railway (Caernarfon)
[edit]You have added four stations to come. Three are listed in the future stations - in my opinion Porthmadog Harbour does not count. However there are other issues about a future Pont Creosor Halt, and even possibly a Nantmor, however on the latter the residents objected to this when the TWO was going through, so not provision has been made.

- Hello James, I fear I do not agree with my good friend Stewart, Porthmadog Harbour Station is where the WHR trains will terminate (and to which it might be said they have running rights) and so must be counted. Also, there may well be a halt in the fulness of time at Tryfan Junction - but don't hold your breath. However, what is the point of trying to second guess the future? Can we please stick to present facts?
- On another matter, what it this WHRS started in 1954? If you are talking about the society that was the precursor of the WHR64'Co. and of which the founder Chairman was my very good friend the late Bill Brown who was also the only Chairman (until his sudden and untimely death in 1973) of the WHR64'Co. and at the same time he was the Chairman of the Lancs and Cheshire Group of the Ffestiniog Rly Socy, then that WHR society started in 1961. I know of none earlier.
- Do please tidy that info box and do please note that this is the English Language Wikipedia (there is a Welsh one in need of all the contributors it can get) so please don't confuse English folk with two different Welsh names when none are needed. Sincere regards, NoelWalley 20:36, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
- Hello again James,
- Not a problem, nice to hear from you. Stewart (Pencefn) tidied it up, he likes info boxes, I am afraid I don't - I'm old fashioned and prefer text and pictures! NoelWalley 06:17, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
English landscape photography
[edit]Thanks for uploading your recent photographs depicting English landscape. Would you please consider also uploading them to Wikimedia Commons ( a repository of free media) so that other projects are able to make use of them? ShakespeareFan00 11:41, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
- You do not seem to have heeded the above advice. People are going to move your images to the Commons anyway. But please save us the trouble - upload to the Commons yourself! — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 09:01, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The article Goldsborough (hill) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Hill with no evidence of meeting the notability requirements, lacks significant coverage
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
