- Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or sock puppetry.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Deliberately adding such content or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). [edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to Wikipedia. However, please remember that editors do not own articles and should respect the work of their fellow contributors on George Town, Penang. If you create or edit an article, remember that others are free to change its content. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Reply : Are you trying to say that my work deserves no respect ? Please read that person's work first before simply reverting the article to that person's work. All I see are grammatical errors and factual vandalism.
- I see, but did you really realised that Herman was still working on that article by leaving a "under construction" notice? You behaviour are much horrible by breaching sock and reverting other editors who have tried to warn you. And you still dare to say "first person's work" like you are owning the article? Please read that there should be no ownership on any article on this online encyclopaedia. Molecule Extraction (talk) 11:14, 7 January 2016 (UTC)
Reply : Regardless of whether Herman was still working on that article, I can only see grammatical errors and factual vandalism. As a Malaysian, I feel compelled to make sure that one of Malaysia's cities deserve proper academic respect. Herman should have checked with me on any additions to that page. He did not. He proceeded to edit the page on his own, even though it was filled with errors. Once a page has been saved and edited, is it still under 'construction' anyway ? One more thing : I never mentioned the phrase, "first person's work". Please get your facts right.
- Although he got some grammar problems, you should not labelling his edits as "vandalism". Remember there is always a CE editors that will fix any errors on that. You just said "one of Malaysia's cities deserve proper academic respect" but based on what I see on Herman talkpage on a dispute he and you involved, I just saw his comment on the board that stated you have including bias statements and when I really check on that part on the article, your edits seems not really neutral to meet Wikipedia guidelines. Is that what you really say " academic respect"?? Yes, based on my view as well "other editors" although the page have been saved, if he leave an "under construction" note on the top of the article he's working, readers would know the article are still been written. Remember there is no need to rush on developing Wikipedia articles. Molecule Extraction (talk) 11:35, 7 January 2016 (UTC)
- "
Herman should have checked with me on any additions to that page
" - Jakaidiot, why would an editor need to check with you? No one "owns" a Wikipedia article because we'll all in this together to try to improve things here -- samtar whisper 11:40, 7 January 2016 (UTC)
Reply : It is vandalism when a user simply deletes facts and says the facts are biased. It is also vandalism when a user blocks another user without notifying or giving any reason. Fine. I am giving up on this matter. Let this page go to some Indonesian who does not even know what he is writing about. There are other avenues for more factual discourse. Wiki is not one of them.

[edit]We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia, but users are not allowed to edit with inappropriate usernames and we do not tolerate 'bad faith' editing such as trolling or other disruptive behavior. If you think there are good reasons why these don't describe your account, or why you should be unblocked, you are welcome to appeal this block – read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
