Minas Hantzidis stats table
Hi there - ignoring for the moment the fact that the table is in an incorrect format (per MOS), my main concern is that the table is still largely incomplete and still partially unreferenced. As a consequence, I do not think it serves any real purpose or adds anything to the article. GiantSnowman 15:07, 1 January 2014 (UTC)
- What does having a table with a majority of blank stats add to the article? GiantSnowman 12:56, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
- So you basically just want to regurgitate what NFT says? GiantSnowman 13:26, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
- Well no, because Soccerway and Soccerbase provide Cup stats, not just league. Feel free to re-add the Hantzidis stats table - we can then search for Cup stats - but only if you introduce it in the correct format. GiantSnowman 13:59, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
- kicker.de also provides Cup and European stats, but unfortunately not earlier than 10–15 years ago. I'll try to hunt up sources for Minas Hantzidis' cup stats and will then re-add the table (with the correct formatting). --Jaellee (talk) 14:20, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
- Great, thanks. GiantSnowman 18:58, 2 January 2014 (UTC)

re: Your revert at Edin Džeko
Hi. I am sorry seems like I made a huge mistake. For a moment I must have thought those edits were made today, since Dzeko had just scored in todays game against Blackburn in the FA Cup. A simple mistake with the dates. I am so sorry and I will take an extra second before my next revert to be sure I wont do the same mistake again. QED237 (talk) 23:23, 15 January 2014 (UTC)
Hi there JAELLEE, AL "here",
could you please step up in this guy's article and help me (help WP better said!) with the following? It'll only take you five minutes if not less (i have already arranged the fields where i need your assistance, so everything will run smooooooooth):
1 - translation of some German references, not all; 2 (optional) - if you want to add anything else about his run-in with the Bayern board of directors, please feel free to do so.

re: Your revert to David Alaba
Hi, JAELLEE,
The fact that I'm a native speaker of the Yoruba language may not necessarily validate my proof of David's father's heritage. However, the fact is; David's father was a Yoruba prince from Ogere Remo which is part of Yorubaland before becoming a rapper and Dj . I was going to include more inline citations to prove this point prior to your reverts to my edits. If however, you insist on excluding any evidence of his Yoruba ancestry. Please let me know as soon as possible.
Hi there JAELLEE, AL "here",
could you please be so kind (again, it'll take you less than one minute) and help out in this article's third reference? I am sure i translated the last one correctly, am almost sure i did the same to the first, only leaving out the one in the middle.
Thanks in advance, all the best as always --AL (talk) 16:34, 6 March 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for pointing out about the language templates, but what are they used for then? Are they only for external links?--Mishae (talk) 22:12, 18 March 2014 (UTC)
- O.K. Many thanks. However, you shouldn't have reverted an edit, since archiving refs is welcomed in Wikipedia.--Mishae (talk) 22:44, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

- Thanks. Tell you what, just now I have added a link to a match in David Alaba article, I think its current. As a side note, if I am being hostile with my articles I am sorry. Due to my autism I can sometimes be hostile when it comes to articles, despite knowing of WP:OWN.--Mishae (talk) 22:57, 18 March 2014 (UTC)
- Since nobody commented below, I have another question to ask. You see, Wikipedia have two templates: one is {{WPSports}}, the other is {{WPBiography}}, both are sports related, but the latter one is sports and games, which might confuse people into believing that football is a game. Is it O.K. to use both? By the way, I am just looking for second opinion. Someone told me that its fine, so I added the template to some athletes (like over 500). If its not (and you will cite a guideline), then I will remove the {{WPSports}} template from athlete related articles (but then there should be a good reason for its existence). Many thanks in advance (whatever the outcome might be).--Mishae (talk) 20:18, 21 March 2014 (UTC)
- I think you might miss understood my question: I'm talking about this. See, one is WPSports and the other one is WPBiography/sports and games.--Mishae (talk) 21:01, 21 March 2014 (UTC)

Michael Ballack
Welcome to Wikipedia. At least one of your recent edits did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you.--Mishae (talk) 02:08, 23 March 2014 (UTC)
- As a side note, I know that you are not a new user but your edit to Michael Ballack regarding spaces remind me of a beginner user (plus I need to use some kind of a warning template). Please don't do it anymore, it doesn't worth it.--Mishae (talk) 02:15, 23 March 2014 (UTC)

ANI
This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you.--Mishae (talk) 19:25, 23 March 2014 (UTC)
- Do you have any suggestions oh how to deal with Mishae? The above report was closed with the suggestion that we take it to ANI, but that may not be ideal. My question on the footy project talk page has not seen any responses. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Walter Görlitz (talk) 19:01, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
- I have no idea. I was offline yesterday evening and saw the discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring only after it was already closed. I've read the discussion but I do not really understand what his problem is (That we put back the spaces? That we partly reverted his edits?) He was already blocked once for removing spaces and carriage returns from infoboxes so maybe going to ANI might help. But in the last few months I've seen it quite often that editors could get away with a lot of disruptive editing if they just complain loud enough about whatever and flood discussions with their posts until no one wants to be bothered with this topic anymore and nothing happens at all.--Jaellee (talk) 22:39, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
- He saw read because I both adding a URL handler (http:) to his archives, restored the spaces (which he claims are not necessary) and possibly removed the line breaks he inserts before his archive URLs (which goes counter to his claim that spaces are not necessary). I'll comment if you go to ANI, but since we're dealing with a "cold case" (it happened yesterday) they may be reluctant to do anything. Walter Görlitz (talk) 22:44, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
- I can still hope that he leaves football articles alone and bothers someone else in a different part of the Wikipedia. Then at least he wouldn't be my problem. --Jaellee (talk) 23:13, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
- He's a German football fan and apparently, interested in Russian politics. I'm not sure that he will walk away from Bayern articles. Walter Görlitz (talk) 00:00, 25 March 2014 (UTC)

Hi there JAELLEE, longtime no "see"...
another "five-second" help i need from you if you please: could you finish the translation of this guy's last ref? Was ist ein blinder bitte?
Also, if you can/want to find more refs for this interesting career, please add them. I added mine in the end not as much to source him working with the coaching staff per the end of that sentence, i added them in the end as to source the entire storyline.
Now, profit from this message to say i'll be leaving WP for good after the World Cup, eight years as an editor now, feeling very wiki-tired, it's a neverending task. Feel free to ask me anything in the meantime, i'll assist to the best of my abilities.
Cheers --AL (talk) 01:01, 3 July 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you! I knew that "blind" in German is the same as in English, but did not know it was meant to be translated literally in this case. --AL (talk) 13:40, 3 July 2014 (UTC)
Filippo Inzaghi
I've reverted your recent edit of my edit. I wrote the original wording, and the article from which I took the info was far less flattering than my original wording or the change I made. The Italian players were appalled by Inzaghi's technique. "Lack" of technique conveys this point better than "level." Please do leave the word "lack" in the article. For the record, I was a fan of Inzaghi's, and I think that Cruyff's assessment shows up the crackpot side of his mind. Regards Tapered (talk) 02:36, 5 July 2014 (UTC)

Sorry for doing it but the Guardian, Independent and BBC use them for a reason, plus I saw some users using them too. Or they are making a mistake? Alexander Baumjohann
The Alexander Baumjohann article says he played for Schalke 04 II between 2005–2007. I can't find any sources saying he did. The only appearances I have found was during the 2010–11 which isn't in the Infobox football biography template. Kingjeff (talk) 01:16, 25 July 2014 (UTC)
Besart Berisha
"Please have a look at the bottom of his infobox. It says there: Senior club appearances and goals counted for the domestic league only and correct as of 4 May 2014. 'Senior club appearances' means domestic league only – no cups, no continental matches, no friendlies. According to Soccerway, Berisha has 76 appearances and 48 goals for Brisbane Roar, so please stop putting false information in the infobox. --Jaellee (talk) 18:39, 4 August 2014 (UTC) According to kicker.de he played 12 matches and scored one goal in the Bundesliga for Hamburger SV and had an additional two appearances and one goal in the UEFA Champions League so I don't understand what your comment with regard to Hamburg means. --Jaellee (talk) 18:46, 4 August 2014 (UTC)"
It's not false information though, it's factual AND accurate. He played in total (including Asian Champions League games) 83 games for Brisbane, scoring 50 times so I fail to see how it is false information. Protenpinner (talk) 19:25, 4 August 2014 (UTC)

Hi there JAELLEE, this is (former user) ALWAYS LEARNING, now vanished (but somehow still editing, guess i'm hooked),
regarding this message you sent this person (please see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:94.34.244.146), the following: 1 - he does not quit his "no-update" policies; 2 - has several other IP addresses; 3 - only seems to edit ACF Fiorentina players.

Translations
Hello Jaellee! Since you are a fluent German speaker, do you think you could help me translate these following sentences to English? It's for the 1998 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup Final I'm working on (Post-match section). Here is the source. I have tried translating the sentences to English myself by using the inaccurate Google Translate, as you can probably see if you view the article, but I'm not sure if my translations are correct.
Thanks. Arbero (talk) 14:12, 11 October 2014 (UTC)
- Still on the subject, if you please: added a couple of German refs to Ilie Sánchez's article, could you be so kind to review the translation please? Thank you very much in advance --84.90.219.128 (talk) 14:06, 14 October 2014 (UTC)
Added another on Rodrigo Ríos Lozano (#20). Thanks again! --84.90.219.128 (talk) 15:55, 14 October 2014 (UTC)

Toni Kroos - Reply
Hello there,
well, the other user may have been a little hasty. Indeed, "Garçom" may be the correct form in BRAZILIAN Portuguese, but in PORTUGUESE Portuguese we use the word as in French, that is to say "Garçon" with the accentuated "c". Also, i don't feel he has any business altering the spelling of the word when it is not used exclusively a Portuguese context; obviously that, with the 2014 FIFA World Cup being held in Brazil, in that article it had a "Portuguese approach" to it.
Attentively (sorry, but i am not working on my "good" computer now. In this one, for reasons that escape me, i am not allowed to sign), hopefully i was of help — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.90.219.128 (talk) 22:21, 2 November 2014 (UTC)

Hi there Jaellee, all well?
Out of respect for you and your work, I notify you of my changes in this player's article, one of which has to do with you: 1 - I removed the neverending sentence about his trials in Asia, all of them were unsuccessful, one is enough don't you agree? 2 (and this is the one that concerns you) - refs or no refs, runner-up positions in league do not count, only in cups.
All the best, from Portugal --84.90.219.128 (talk) 02:50, 28 November 2014 (UTC)
- Just to assure you, I mentioned the trials bit because I was thorough and mentioned ALL my changes in Friedrich's article, I know you did not add them, and I also know you did a great job outlining the refs display.
Schweini has returned, great news. A question to a Bayern fan: what is about Rafinha that makes Guardiola field him on 99% of the matches? Consistency maybe? After all those years in Germany I believe he must be proficient in the language as well, so there's another plus for him. --84.90.219.128 (talk) 15:29, 28 November 2014 (UTC)
